One of the worst experiences ever. Totally unacceptable. They mark up their parts so much. They charged us $118 for a part that we could have bought for $36. They charge a ridiculous amount for labor, and have you pay up front for it. They cancelled our appointment to fix our dryer, not once, but twice with no explanation and no apology. The refund will take 14 business days. We overpaid for the part, and still had to pay for the $89 diagnostic fee. My dryer has been broken 2 weeks and now my husband has to fix it. Sears put a note on the cancellation saying that customer would install the part. So they basically charged us for nothing and told us to install the part ourselves. Totally... Read More
How do I submit zero stars? The soonest appt. I could get was 1 week. It took an additional week to order and ship parts. Yesterday the tech was scheduled to make refrigerator repairs. I did not get an email the day before as was promised. Got a confirmation email yesterday morning. Followed the technician 's progress throughout the day. The ETA was 348 PM. No one showed. At about 450 PM I received an email and text stating the tech had arrived and no one was home. BULL. We were home. The front door was open. The garage door was open. There was a car in the garage and in the drive. No one rang the door bell or knocked on the door. Text message said I could call the number on the voice... Read More
I took off of work yesterday April 25th and the service tech was a no-show and I never received any texts or phone calls from him all day yesterday !!!!!
I am not happy one bit about this and am waiting on when or how you intend to fix your lack of communication or service to my appliance !!!!!!!
I don't know who gives them 4-5 stars, but if you go on the BBB you will see what I and thousands of other foiled clients had gone through with them, they keep for hours 1st, as they transfer you from one department to the other until finally you get someone and files the complaint, then you wait until they come, usually they will send a 3rd party tech company with most of the time don't know the hell what they are doing and at then Sears themselves would come do the job, but lately this is not happening either, one guy came and ordered parts, then the other guy came and said WAIT, this is not the right parts and this machine can't be fixed, I will send my remarks to the company and they... WE ARE GOING ON OVER 6 MONTHS WITH OUR SAMSUNG WASHER, THEY SAY THEY ARE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE PARTS! WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE LAUNDROMAT AND THAT IS HUGE EXPENSE AND A HUGE INCONVENIENCE. SEEING SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO GO 2 AND 3 TIMES A WEEK. WE HAD TO RENT A WASHER, AND THAT DOESN'T WORK SO GREAT. WONDER IF WE SHOULD BE PAID FOR ALL THIS, SEEING WE PURCHASED YOUR WARRANTY PROGRAM. OR SOME CREDIT TOWARD A NEW WASHER PURCHASE?
Worst Repair Service of My 75-Year Life I have had four appointments to have my refrigerator repaired. Two were canceled by Sears on the day of the appointment. I have received 32 text messages, 32 emails, and about 12 phone messages from Sears confirming their service appointments. When a repairman finally showed up, it took him almost 5 hours to complete what I was told would be a 2 1/2-hour repair. I checked with the repairman about 4 hours into the repair and was told he was having trouble, because he had never soldered copper to stainless (a skill needed to replace the compressor). Not sure 1 star is good enough. Called Sears for Kenmore Elite Refrigerator Ice Maker and Water Dispenser not working. Sears sent first technician out, he said that he could not do even diagnose because the Model # was not legible. I later found out that in his notes he said the refrigerator was inaccessible. 3-4 days later Sears sent out another Tech from Arcnet Appliance Repair. The tech requested I turn off the water supply and back on, he examined the Ice Maker and Water Dispenser not functional and confirmed that in my presence. I later found out in his report, he said that the refrigerator gasket was damaged. Sears denied my claim because they do not cover damaged refrigerator... Read More
We had two oven repair men come and they were both knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly test the ovens. The third guy who came today to finish the job came in with an attitude- rolled his eyes when we described the problem, replaced the part and then was leaving when I stopped him and asked him to test the temperatures in both ovens since he had replaced the control board for both ovens. Eye roll again. He did a sorta temperature test. When the oven said 350 he didn’t plan to checkout the accuracy which was the original problem.
