Extended car warranties or vehicle service contracts (VSC) can offer consumers peace of mind, knowing they have car repair coverage on their vehicle after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.

In the past, the industry has received a bad rap because there are companies out there with the primary intention of scamming consumers into purchasing a contract and then not providing coverage or paying claims.

The company does, however, limit payouts based on your vehicle’s trade-in value.

EasyCare Coverage Options

EasyCare also offers four service contracts starting with a Powertrain going up to its Exclusionary plan.

It also provides a detailed list of what parts and systems are covered under each plan, which is extremely helpful to consumers.

However, you will have to contact the company directly to find out more details on each coverage level.

Being able to read a sample service contract from a car warranty company is a great way to help you understand a company’s coverage in full.

Endurance provides a sample contract on its website whereas EasyCare does not or, at least, one was not readily located. Therefore, you will want to review EasyCare’s contract in detail when you receive it before signing. The company does list everything that is covered under each plan on its website. 

Many car warranty companies require a vehicle inspection prior to beginning coverage. Endurance does not.

Additionally, the company allows the transfer of warranty to either a new driver or to a newly purchased vehicle.

It also offers a 30-day money back guarantee. If you request a refund after the 30-day period, you can receive a prorated refund based on the mileage used, time under contract, and any paid claims.

EasyCare also offers transferability of warranty, but you will need to contact the company directly to learn more about their vehicle inspection policy, warranty transfer, and money-back policy.

A company’s reputation is a critical factor to look at when choosing a car warranty company.

Financial stability and longevity along with positive consumer reviews are strong indicators of a company’s ability to pay claims now as well as in the future. Both of these companies have strong reputation indicators.

Endurance (or its insurance partner) holds a “A” rating with A.M Best, one of the three most respected independent financial rating agencies in the United States.

It holds a “B+” rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and a 4-star (great) consumer review rating on Trustpilot – a 7.5/10 score with 77% of all posted reviews as great or excellent.

The company also holds the prestigious gold-level certification with the VPA and has won multiple awards for its customer service department: best website, best employer, and as company of the year.
