How the hell this dumb company get anything higher than 1 star? They do not reply my inquires at all despite numerals phone calls and emails. They only want to pay for half of orthodontist treatment in 2018 and another half in 2019. Why?! I did all my treatment this year. What a junk company!

Am dropping this insurance. Coverage is poor and they find ways of paying almost nothing for serious, legitimate claims. The main reason I have been paying ~$1000 year for this insurance is that I though it would cover at least part of my routine care and protect me from calamitous expenses. I'm now told it's unusual that they pay so little of my preventive care, especially since I go to an in-network dentist. Much mores seriously though, when I finally had a big bill—$2000 for a tooth extraction— they only offered $100. They paid nothing, zero, for anesthesia. I took light sedation. They said they would have paid for heavy sedation but not light. Great. So you have to take a more... Read More

We signed up for Delta Dental for this calendar year. In March, my husband needed work to remove a tooth that had developed root resorption. The dentist advised him that in some cases this can affect the bone of your jawline if it goes untreated, so it had to be dealt with. Our dentist's office called Delta Dental and was assured that yes, this would be covered. He had the initial work done and the office submitted a bill, and we got a response back that there was a wait period of six months, and the claim for the extraction and the temporary bridge was denied. We got on the phone with Delta Dental ourselves that April, and were told that yes, there is a six month waiting period and... Read More

I was misrepresented when I took out a plan over a year ago. First time to the dentist a month ago barely paid 40$. Get the facts before you buy. I could have paid for my services much cheaper than the monthly payment.

While the insurance seems t function fairly well the customer service and former employee access portion is very very bad. As a former employee I can say with all certainty they do not care about customer relations pr their employees. It is almost impossible to find contact information. I have retirement coming but am unable to find any source for contacting the companies human resources department about my retirement plan. The company has never cared about their employees. Management yes the rest no.

So...if my total annual premium comes to around $800 (approximately), I will only get coverage for $1000 worth of services? Hardly worth getting the coverage.

I have been a member since 2011, and for the last 3- 4 weeks, as of this date, every day I get a welcome message. After numerous emails, unsubscribe, phone calls, still continues. I think its time to switch. How can one have confidence in an organization that cannot even correct what an agent called a "glitch" offering no support in corrrecting this daily annoyance.

Do not do it they will not pay! Dentist confirmed coverage, 1st said I was late on payment, caught up on payment, then said they would not pay because I am over 19 (I am the only one on the policy) now they will not pay because I am not covered. I upgraded the policy at renewal to cover tooth extraction and to replace the teeth that were extracted caveat emptor.

I had Delta Dental Insurance and will never use them again. I can't figure out what I was paying for. Even my "free cleaning" cost me $50.00. My dentist called them and discussed my case over the phone with me in the room. I needed a crown and wanted to know what my portion would be prior to having it done. My dentist said my portion would be $500. I paid $400 in cash on the spot and paid $100 when I returned for the removal of the temporary crown and the new crown. Two months later I received a bill for $750 and Delta Dental stated they will not pay because I'm over the age of 18. I am 47 and have never had a child on this policy. They do not know what they are talking about and just... Read More

I just spent a half hour of my day trying to ensure that a stupid dental claim from my dentist will go through the system for my husband. We had dual coverage through mine and his employer up until last year, but since January Delta has been our only coverage through my employer. Why should I have to call to let you know that we terminated coverage through his employer? How would I even know that? You had TWO policies on record flagged as primary for my husband, one of which terminated in 2014! The other in December 2017. The customer service representative even could tell me that there was no activity on those policies since before they were terminated! Come on Delta Dental of Wisconsin,... Read More
