I ordered an $80 arrangement for Christmas Eve Delivery. The recipient was home all day and no one came to the house, but Ava's said delivery couldn't be made because no one was home. They tried again twice - they claimed - on 12.27, 3 days after promised delivery. Again, they said no one was home, which was untrue. They then promised to leave the flowers, with my permission, at the front door. They did not do that. They then said they would call the recipient themselves and arrange delivery times on the 28th. We ordered flowers for our Daughter-in-law’s birthday who lives in Mobile Alabama and received a notice that the flowers were delivered but she did not receive them. After many hours contacting customer service another order was finally submitted and the same thing happened again—no flowers delivered. Now my wife and daughter-in-law are both in tears due to the frustration of having to deal with delivery issues. I say avoid Ava’s flowers until they fix their delivery methods.

I ordered a beautiful floral arrangement along with a large teddy bear and balloon for my daughter-in-law and new granddaughter. I spent well over a hundred dollars on the order and she received only a dozen roses, a diaper cake???, no balloon. She doesn't even use cloth diapers!!! You can just imagine my huge disappointment. When I called customer service she said they had to substitute items. So basically EVERYTHING I ordered was replaced with things I did not order. She offered me a $20 dollar credit??? When I argued further I got half of a refund. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN will I order from this horrible floral service!

I ordered a Sympathy bouquet that cost 74.95, and also a banner. After fees and taxes, it came to around $109.00. I was Shocked when I saw them at the funeral home. They were nothing like what I had ordered, plus there was no banner. They looked like a bouquet I could get at my local grocery store for around $20.00. In fact, the grocery store bouquets look much better. I called Customer Service when I got home, and she did take off the banner charge. She also reduced the invoice by 50%. I have no complaints about the people in Customer Service, just about the flowers. I would never order flowers from them again.

My father purchased flowers from the website for a friend for thanksgiving in michigan. We live in alaska. The credit card has only been used at the avas flowers website, The Pc used is freshly reinstalled with a ssd drive and is not infected. His credit card number was used locally in michigan at a gas pump near where the flowers were sent from. I called Avas and was told NOPE we can't even do that.. The lady on the phone was correct she could not do that, I have worked in IT for 27 years and these things happen all the time. My call was not to get money only to inform their IT dept to look into the issue, To ENSURE that their is not a nefarious employee working in IT, or that a exploit... Read More

I looked up local florists in Groton CT and Ava’s came up. I chose this florist because the location was within ten minutes of the delivery add. I ordered an “as shown” sympathy vase, $74.99, entered the free delivery code, and proceeded to check out. That’s when I noticed the “service fee of $25.95. I should have known better by this point, but I placed the order ($96.71) anyway. The flowers were delivered the next day, however, they looked nothing like what I ordered. The recipient said they were nice and proceeded to tell me they came from Verdant Floral in Stonington CT. I will never order from Ava’s again.

First the man who answered the phone lied to me when I asked if it was a call center or if he was in the store taking orders. He said he was in the store. That's the first thing. It's a call center and probably in the Philippines. Second they said that they would send a picture and that wasn't done either. My daughter sent me a picture of the flowers and I was really disappointed. for what I paid the flowers should have been beautiful and a great assortment. I could have gone to the grocery store and got flowers and made it better myself. The resolution was to have the flowers done again. STAY AWAY!! SCAM ALERT!! We ordered flowers for a coworkers moms funeral and the price on the website showed $115 and an additional $10 for a bow and card by the time it was all said and paid for we paid $165!! then we received a phone call less than 30 minutes later from a floral company letting us know that this place is a scam an yes we would be getting our flowers but they actually take your money then call a different flower shop an pay them to do it and overcharge you. They only paid $120 for the flowers and the other $45 went into their pockets. According to the company that called us they do this all the time to people and they just wanted us to be aware of it.

TOTAL RIP OFF .........STAY AWAY..........DO NOT USE....... Ordered flowers for a funeral one week before the service. Twelve hours before the service starts they call me and said that the funeral home will not allow a standing spray of flowers there fore they are substituting a small vase flower arraignment. I called the funeral home and spoke with the funeral director who said the they of course allow standing flowers and also allow almost any type of flower arrangements. They flat out LIED to me.
