Wish I would have read these reviews before ordering. Twelve hours before funeral I received a call stating that the funeral home does not allow standing spray flowers, therefore they are substituting a smaller vase standing arraignment. I called the funeral home and spoke with the funeral director who stated that they do allow standing sprays and almost any type of flowers arrangement. Called Ava’s Flowers and was told that the local florist told them the standing spray is not allowed. Terrible lying customer service. Demanded a refund which they said they will do. STAY AWAY, TOTAL RIP OFF TERRIBLE SERVICE. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I paid $10 extra for the "As Shown" photo as opposed to the available "Small Bouquet". What was delivered was about a third the size of the bouquet on the website, was in a small plastic bowl instead of the upright vase shown. I understand that the bouquet won't be exactly as shown in the website, but this one is not even close. I would post photos if I could, the difference is astounding. I also was charged a "Service Fee" of $24.94 at the very last step of checkout. This fee was not disclosed anywhere else and amounted to a 42% increase in the cost of the arrangement. Ava's was listed as a local florist near the cemetery where I buried my mother. It isn't. It is actually 1800-flowers and if you need it delivered they send the order to Conroy's. Every time I've had flowers from Conroy's they've been terrible and this was no exception. The flowers look like they taken off a grave last week and delivered to us as new. They were wilted, there were big bare spots and was nothing like the picture. When I talked to the girl on the phone she said that Ava's isn't a real place, its just an order collecting website for 1800flowers. Buyer beware.

I did not push the final "place order" button on the Avas order I'd built, because the company did TWO rather unethical things. First, the pictures of flowers which show up with the prices underneath are of the "small" version; to get the "SHOWN" version you have to pay more. That's bait and switch. And I agreed to take the "shown" bouquet despite the added charge. Second, although you boasted of "free delivery" with a code and crossed out the $9.99 charge, you ADDED almost $25 as a "service charge" AFTER you'd gotten my credit card info--with NO PRIOR MENTION of a service charge which added almost 50% to the cost of the flowers I'd chosen, and which was 2.5 times the supposed "great... I ordered wreath online for my friend's memorial service. They sent me an email saying it would be delivered a day before the service. I was surprised to know in the service they actually did not deliver the wreath! I cannot believe it!

The worst florist I have ever used. The original flower had orange roses and purple carnations. The actual flower received had orange lily’s and tiny purple daisy’s. I wish I could download the pictures. I should have read these reviews first.

Paid $100.00 for horrible flowers that did not match the depiction and began withering and dying less than 24 hours after delivery. They send an email at 12:00 a.m. on a Sunday night asking to let them know how they did and how the product was. The product was delivered Friday at 2:00 p.m. They then said they could only offer 20% back because they didn't receive notice within 48 hours. Well they didn't ask for a response within 48 hours. What a horrible place, I would never use them.

Ordered an expensive flower arrangement for a funeral and it never arrived. They texted me that it was delivered, I was at the funeral home and the flowers were not. They later tried to tell me they were delivered at 9:15 a.m. even though I called at 10:35 because the service started at 11:00 and the flowers were not there and they couldn't reach the local retailer. They didn't answer the phone -- that's a hint that there is trouble. Another person at the same funeral had tried to use Avas and their flowers also never showed up.

Terrible. Will never use again! When asked if they were local to the town I was delivering to stated yes but turned out that was false. Got "confirmation arrangement had been delivered on a Friday at 9 when had not been delivered. Had asked for a fall arrangement, eventually a bunch of cut flowers were delivered. No response from customer service. Proceed with extreme caution!
