Gutter Helmet enjoys an excellent reputation and has an extensive network of highly-qualified dealers.

Their aluminum guards fit securely over your gutters and remain durable in tough weather.

Their patented reverse-curve surface tension design allows rainwater to flow freely into your gutters, while stopping leaves, seeds, pine needles, and other debris from entering, but it doesn't entirely prevent them from washing into the gutters in some heavy rain conditions.

Specifications - 3 / 5

Gutter Helmet's gutter guard is a long piece of heavy-gauge, pre-formed aluminum that covers existing gutters and curves downward.

When rain falls, it clings to the cover and rolls down the curved surface into a 3/8” slit.

Through the principle of surface tension, water drips into the gutter itself while restricting foreign debris.

The company also offers a heated add-on option, named Helmet Heat, with the purpose of melting ice and snow during winter.

Additional Services - 3.3 / 5

Gutter Helmet dealers provide gutter fabrication, installation and repair, in addition to gutter guard installation.

This is important, since it may not be possible to install a Gutter Helmet system on damaged, decaying, or improperly installed gutters.

Most dealers include cleaning and alignment services free of charge with a new system, which minimizes the risk of performing such tasks yourself, or having to hire somebody to do them.

The product is good keeping out large debris. BUT.... After having had the gutter helmet on our second story house for 3 years, we have discovered that it is not fowl proof. Birds have nested in-between the slits and have caused blockage. We have three different bird nests in the gutters. It is sad that we didn't know this was even a possibility. We were so disappointed that after spending all this money on what we thought was a permanent solution to cleaning out the gutters, and now we still need to clean them out. This was not a wise investment for us. Just wanted others to be ware that this is a possibility.

Have had gutters and helmet system, which was installed by Gutter Helmet 4 years ago. Started having problems 1st rain after installation. Water flowed over helmet onto ground in several areas on both sides of our shop. Gutter Helmet sent someone out a couple of times to adjust and fix areas installed incorrectly. Since adjustments and fixes did not work, they set up a regular 6 months maintenance, which works out to be every 7 to 8 months since they call to reschedule at least 3-4 times before scheduled maintenance date. We had underground pipes installed onto gutter down flows. Since trees around shop are only evergreens with needles, needles are constantly filling up gutters and... Read More

Great work and they were on time and explained everything that would take place. Kevin and Gene were polite and the gutter looks great. I would highly recommend them.

I had Gutter Helmet installed about 11 months ago in June 2020. Water is over flowing in some areas from gutter. I was told when service man came to my home that a small branch can ding the curved flow edge and then water will not flow over into gutter. Water will then drip to ground level. Depending how heavy its raining the dripping can be heavy as well. Service man also said that spring pollen sticking to gutter curved flow edge will disrupt water flowing into gutter. That washing or pressure washing gutter needs to be performed. So much for getting away wit cleaning gutters.

I've now been in a house that has Gutter helmet for 4 years. They have been nothing but trouble. If ANY dirt builds up on the curved surface, water drips over the gutter. I need to brush clean off the surface at least once a month in spring, summer, and fall. Winter is the worst. I have stalactite type icicles hanging off the gutters and frozen pools of ice all around the house. Once the water freezes on the curved surface, the gutter is rendered useless. I spent a lot of money getting the warranty back in force, but now regret it. I would never and will never install these gutters on a house in the northeast.

My 90 year old mother mistakenly signed up for this installation. 7 days later she called to cancel and was advised she had to forfeit her down payment. So with out any work being completed, only sales person Marshall Cranmer selling her this unneeded gutter protection, she is out $500.00 Be aware of this company that obviously rips little old ladies off!

After years of cleaning my own gutters on our 2-story house, we had Gutter Helmet installed about 15 years ago. Have had zero problems or clogs since. When we had to have our roof replaced, Gutter Helmet came out and uninstalled them the day before and reinstalled them the day after (at an extra cost that was clearly stated when we hired the service). Couldn't be happier with Gutter Helmet.

a false claim that sticks, pine needles, and leaf don't clog this gutter. it clogs much faster because it all blocks the openning which is less than 1/2 inch and much harder to clear than an open gutter. good luck using the warranty

We have a contract with Gutter Helmet and made a down payment of $1,623 !This is for replacing 42' in one part and 78' in another. It is now 7/15/20 and we cannot get the work started, let alone done. Sent a letter to the company and called several times. The was obviously to no avail. We are totally frustrated and ages 96 and 85 years!!!!!!!! We would like to see it done before we die!!!!!!!!!!!!
