Very disappointed in that the debris stays on the lead filter gutter. As in pine needles, mossy film. And I have water over run into the ground which has caused a trough in my dirt below.
So in motherboards, one still has to go up and spray and clean the screens from debris. I believe it is not a Pacific Northwest screen if you have the large cedar and pine trees.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! This product is horrible, it does not work in MI winter and the company knows that; just see the reviews on Angie's list. I wish I saw those comments before we installed the gutter protection. It freezes in the winter, then the water overflows and everything around the house is soaked. We asked the company to uninstalled it and they ignored us. We had 2 service calls in the first month it was installed in December of 2017, their own technician said the system would not work with our roof configuration (I hope they did not fire the guy). I had complained before about water running off of my roof in torrents (see attached video). Someone came out and added a dam/diverter piece of tin to redirect the water. Now that piece is completely clogged with debris from the trees that the salesman promised would not clog our gutters.
My gutters are clogged on every side of my house.
I have to get on a ladder to clean this out. How can that be considered a solution to clogged gutters?
The brochure says “The ONLY gutter that has never allowed a single gutter to clog — EVER!”
How can you say this?
Love my leaf filters!! I’m sitting at work hearing coworkers talk about cleaning their gutters after the last storm and I proudly say I haven’t cleaned my gutters for 3 years ,!since they were installed!
Had to take ours asap the African dust got on it and completely blocked it we had rain over shouting in to the entrance
Sheboygan Wisconsin. We installed leaf filter a year ago on our single story home. We have over 230 feet of gutters so it was an expensive option. The salesman would quote a higher price and then let you whittle it down. But it was overpriced with the first quote. The salesman also said they have their own installers, but the single man who installed our installation was contracted. He did a good job overall but left some sheet metal screws behind. Where there are valleys on the roof, the rain will wash over the top of the gutters and onto the sidewalks, driveway or ground instead of into the gutters now. Paid to have gutter covers installed. For a variety of reasons, they just don’t get installed. The biggest issue is that the company NEVER calls me to reschedule. I have to call my salesman. This isn’t working for me. Would not recommend this company at all.
I had LeafFilter installed today on my home. I had no problem with the installer who did the work. My main issue was with the management of LeafFilter when I called them out for not using stainless steel screws to make the attachment that I was told would be used. There excuse was that the salesman mis-spoke when he assured me that the srews would be stainless steel when I asked him directly before signing the contract. They didn't make any attempt to resolve the issue or offer small discount to make up for it. This not the way to treat a customer who just put out a lot of money for your product. The product is good. The crew from Denver that installed our product, not so much. They (this includes the installers supervisor and customer service) did not communicate when they were coming or changes to the schedule. The crew left trash everywhere. The didn't bring standoffs for their ladders to protect our gutters. They skipped putting a whole section of product in. I couldn't get customer service or the installation crew supervisor to return emails or calls. After two weeks, I finally got a commitment from the company to install the missing section on Friday afternoon, 7/6/2018 between 2 and 4PM. I've been looking at gutter guards for a few years. I'd question the gap between most guards and the gutter believing that leaves would follow the water into the gutter. A few weeks ago, at a 4-H Park function I saw Leaf Filter and immediately recognized it as the product I've been waiting for. New gutters and Leaf Filters were installed today.
