I had Leaf Filter installed on 11-10-2018 and was very happy with the installation and how the filters worked during the rain . The only problem I see now is that they freeze over. We had a freezing rain and sleet on 11-14-2018 thru 11-15-2018 about an inch of sleet then the freezing rain. The Leaf Filters seem to have frozen over, with the small holes that allows the rain through and keeps out the debris. Water running off the roof is now running over the front of the gutters as if they are stopped up, since they are not stopped up due to the cleaning and installation the only other conclusion I can come to is that the holes are frozen over keeping the water from entering the... Leaf Filter is shady!! We were introduced to Leaffilter at our CHURCHES FAIR. We had a salesman come out to the house, and look at out CURRENT GUTTERS and he explained we would need new gutters to accommodate the LEAF FILTER SYSTEM. My husband is a Disabled Veteran and I am disabled as well. We explained to the salesman how impractical it is to get up on a ladder, that's WHY we were interested in the Leaffilters/ Leaf Filters. He quotes us a price of $3678.00 and we pay it, only to find out after a small roof leak, that THERE ISN'T ANY LEAF FILTER/LEAFFILTER IN OUR GUTTERS!!! I should have known better. This product is a total ripoff. DO NOT INSTALL THIS ON YOUR HOME! Installed by
a couple of meth addicts, sloppy work, installer didn't even have a miter saw, large gaps between seems and corners as they cut everything with tin snips. Debris, trimmings, and screws left everywhere. Ruined my new gutter job as they cut half the hangers. When it rains the water just pours over the top and is a gully washer at any roof valley. Leaf Filter has been a headache from the time the contract was signed. Salesmen told us a,b,c - then the day before work was to be done a contractor trespassed on our land and home without us know, called and told us he wouldn't be able to do b,c and he would be back. We said no if you can't do it all we don't want it done and CANCELED the work. Fast forward a month and half and we get a credit card in the mail for Leaf Filter. I call Leaf Filter and they tell me they didn't send the credit card and they can't cancel financing. They say the bank they use for financing sends that credit card to all customers who sign up for financing and it is separate from financing for the job (29%... Read More
We had a system installed 8 months ago. The filters do not allow water to get in the gutters thus causing a waterfall effect with water and debris all over the sidewalk and entry way. The reps were impossible to deal with and not return calls. It was very expensive but we had to have it removed so we won't have such problems. Be careful this is a bad product and worse management!!
I purchased the Leaf Filter protection system a year ago in October. It has been a huge mistake accompanied by major frustration with the local Austin manager as well as corporate not returning calls, not showing up when scheduled or fixing the problems. Now I am told by the local manager that there is nothing else they can do. The reason for the purchase a year ago in October was so I would not have to hire someone to periodically clean my gutters as they would clog and then the water would overflow especially since my trees are getting older and dropping more leaves. I splurged for gutters to protect my home, my biggest investment and this company refused to use the number of needed down spouts so the back of my home has become a waterfall. I have had 4 service calls and every service person says the job was done poorly and the back of my home, and an area near my front door needed additional downspouts. I have video of a waterfall coming in my porch, creating a pool and lifting my tile floor and staining my porch door. I have called the Tampa manager, Patrick, several times and begged for help, and offered to send him the videos and photos taken during our afternoon rainstorms, but I am being ignored. After several years screens are coming off, was told it would cost $95.00 to have them fastened. After discussing warranty ,we were told it does not cover screen repairs. We were told to let gutters clog then they would come out and fix the screens. Be careful if you purchase this product
COMPANY STATES THEIR SYSTEM IS "INVISIBLE FROM THE GROUND". NOT TRUE! AFTER THREE MONTHS..THE STEEL MESH BECOMES WRINKLED AND DESTORTED AND PROTUDES ABOVE THE GUTTER...MAKES GUTTER LOOK UNEVEN AND WAVY! HIGHLY UNATTRACTIVE AND UNSIGHTLY! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL LOOKING!
