Overall Rating: 4 / 5 (Very good)

Raindrop is a good choice for people who want a lower-cost gutter guard system with the option of a DIY installation. However, the company concedes that its design will still allow seed pods and pine needles into your gutters, so it might not be an ideal choice for people who live near pine, maple, and locust trees. The company's 20-year warranty is short, compared to those of many of its competitors, which might give some customers pause.

Specifications - 4 / 5

Raindrop gutter guards consist of several long thin rods of plastic that run parallel the gutter, on top of which sit numerous short rods that run perpendicular to the gutter. This creates hundreds of small slots in the guard that will admit water but keep out larger debris. This system is less expensive than micro mesh guard systems, but will likely still require the gutters to be cleaned out often if you live around trees that shed needles and small seeds. The company acknowledges that "whirly-bird" seed pods and pine needles can still make their way into the gutters, but maintains that these will be flushed out by the water running though the gutters. The guards can either be laid on top of the gutters or attached by slipping the back edge just under the shingle line. Raindrop also claims that this installation procedure will not void a roof warranty.

Rainbow does not publish its prices on its website. Its products are sold to DIYers through dealers in the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeastern states as well as in the Pacific northwest. The company's transferrable 20-year warranty is not as long as those of its competitors, but customers must bear in mind that the installation is DIY, which increases the chance of mistakes.

Raindrop is a BBB-accredited business and has an A+ rating from that organization and zero complaints, but no presence on TrustPilot. The company has been in business since 2000. Despite the lack of consumer reviews, the company does have a considerable presence online, which leads us to trust their legitimacy and reputation.

DOES NOT WORK FOR SHED ROOFS! Gutter Guard was installed, and the next day it rained. The rain water ran over the Gutter Guard!! The company came out, and went onto the roof with hose in hand. The water from the hose also went over the Gutter Guard!! The installer was amazed, removed the gutter guard and refunded our money. What a disappointment!! So, we now know that Gutter Guard does not work on steep roofs!!

While we had issues getting it installed properly from a contractor - once we did it has performed well. No leaves or debris in our gutters. I have been outside during decent rain (maybe not super storm) and all water went into the gutters and did not shoot past the gutters. Time will tell how it holds up - but first year has been okay. Only did one side of our home to see how it would perform.

Our Raindrops are filled with leaves. We've had tons of rain this fall. It has not washed out the leaves. It will be impossible for us to continue to clean out the gutters. What a waste of money!

George. There is NO video showing Raindrop cannot divert heavy rainfall. If you did see something I would question it's authenticity.

There is a video showing Raindrop cannot divert heavy rainfall. Any comments ? I live in the Southeast with torrential rain and this has me concerned. Otherwise, they seem very nice. Thank you.
