I'm on my 2nd set of Widex aids. I have had pretty good luck with them. Bought my 2nd set(Moment) but I purchased them in Florida and moved to Nort Carolina a few months later. Tried to get info online from Widex for a distributor. They never responded. Very poor customer service. Found a local dealer that sells 6 different brands and will service them but costs $55 office call and $150 if they touch them. 3 year warranty is worthless if dealer didn't sell them. I have had Siemans aids and they are worthless, nothing but trouble.
I purchased Widex hearing aids as my first set of hearing aids. The lady who sold them to me left on maternity leave and never returned. TI had a 3 year warranty period. I moved and re-established with another hearing "professional" that serviced Widex. My rechargeable batteries are dead and they are no longer manufactured. The "professional" could have cared less about my hearing issues or the battery. I wrote to Widex and received NO response. Customers beware of these hearing aids-they are so NOT worth buying
They have awful customer support
After 6 thousand dollars each and numerous returns neither my husband nor I can get the chargers to work The plugs do not fit into the units
Worse hearing aids
Nothing but problems cuts in and out .
Just awful
I could go into a lengthy detail, but simply put, purchasing Widex is a scam. Their blue tooth technology absolutely does not work. Don’t buy them. The only resolve you will receive from Widex is “ we are working on it”. I spent $6600.00 and learned the hard way
I have had these Widex Hearing Aids for about 5 years. I haven' t any trouble with them except resently.
#1 - Customer service is one of two most important aspects of dealing with a company aside from quality. Your customer service is basically non existent. I have tried to find a number to speak to a hearing representative from your company but all I have found is a number at which they say they do not deal with the product issues I am dealing with. This left me very disappointed with Widex. I paid THOUSANDS for my Beyond HA's. And scarecly three years later, aside from the maintenance supplies and batters, I'm expected to pay well over $100 to replace a receiver wire. This is outrageous at the price I paid. I am sorry to say that my wife spent literally thousands of dollars on her hearing aids just over a year ago and she has received nothing but aggravation with them ever since. They cut in and out as if a wire were connected and then disconnected. Hearing aids should be helpful and provide joy, not hurtful and frustrating as these have been. All attempts to contact the company about possible warranty problems have been met with "go back to your audiologist as we don't deal directly with consumers." Needless to say the audiologist has been less than helpful as well.
My husband got his Widex hearing aids a little over a year ago and has had nothing but problems with them. Not sure if it is the hearing aids themselves or our audiologist. He has been back in to have them adjusted or looked at every month since and he still can't understand conversations or understand the voices on TV. Background sounds are overwhelming. He has gotten to the point where he is going to give up on them and they were VERY expensive. I believe he should get some satisfaction out of them for what we paid for them. I feel bad for the people below. It seems like your need to depend on your audiologist regarding repairs. Ours would NEVER let you leave without loaners while yours were being fixed and she programs the loaners appropriately before leaving the office with them. Therefore, no problems with hearing in the meantime. It just isn't safe!!! I will say that we have seen first hand that an audiologist is not consistently great - we have been blessed with our provider. We realized around 5th grade that my son knew more about troubleshooting his aids than the county audiologist assigned to him at school- yikes!
