I’ve had my system for about 3 years. I was happy the first 2 years. I’ve experienced two panel failures, two or three camera failures. After camera failures I was informed they no longer support the cameras and had to take motion sensors in a one sided swap. Two glass break sensor failures. They do however monitor your system very well, 5 stars. The down size is the equipment they sell is so temperamental that their own panel has trouble recognizing their own sensors. I went with them because they had a rating second to none. I bottom line is I don’t have time to constantly babysit the equipment failures and the confusion that it causes. I’m going with two stars overall.
I have had FrontPoint for two years now and everything worked until most recently. Their mobile App has recently had a lot of problems and today it completely stopped working. I called customer service and the guy answering the call said it is Alarm.com, their third party contractor, that's to blame. I'm like I've been paying FrontPoint and not Alarm.com and I don't need to know your issue with Alarm.com, I just need my system to be working. The FrontPoint guy just kept repeating the fact that Alarm.com is having issues and they have no control over Alarm.com. If that's the case, if burglary happens, you blame Alarm.com, too? AVOID FRONTPOINT, DON’T BELIVE THE LIES Short of it: Billed for Services never received, reps that lie and misrepresent to try to trap you into their contract, cheap and inadequate equipment, overpriced cameras, horrible overall customer service Long of it: Dishonest customer service representatives. From the very start the people working at Front point were dishonest. I did my homework in studying all the available home security systems, took me 3 weeks and i learned a lot from all these phone calls I made... talked to about 10 companies. Well, FrontPoint was the one i selected. My husband & i installed all the equipment one Sat morning & it was up & running smoothly that day. It really was quite easy installing everything. We used the Frontpoint Wizard on our cell phone to guide us & when we had a question, we picked up the phone & called. The rep was incredibly helpful, patient, informative & very very thorough. For any one seriously considering Front Point, I recommend trying to find a better source of reviews. I've had a Front Point system for 4 or 5 years and am very satisfied with their equipment, customer service and support. I see many poor reviews here that are wildly inconsistent with my experience. I've had something like 10 interactions with Front Point personal ranging from actual alarm responses to technical assistance to guide me in replacing batteries and every one of them was 5 stars in terms of professionalism and courtesy. In short, as far as I can tell, these people are well trained and care about their product and jobs.
I've had Frontpoint Security for over a year and I am very happy with the service. The other day, I forgot to disable the alarm system and opened the garage door to unload the car. They call within 30 seconds and the police arrive 30 seconds after that. It gives me peace of mind in light of the fact that recently a house in our subdivision was burglerized recently.

The salesman convinced me that having a cat wasn't going to trip the alarm. The motion sensors kept going off at 2-3 in the morning. There was no one present in the house. When I called the company, they kept insisting it was the cat setting off the motion sensors, not that the sensors were bad. I asked them if they were suggesting that an 18 lb. cat would jump up in the middle of the kitchen for no reason. Rotten service.
Entered the website and within 30 seconds someone called me - eerie
The person clearly had a scripted message with questions to ask. I found it rude and impersonal. I Hung UP !!!
Won't use this company!
Once my contract is up I will cancel !! Not worth it !

I searched the WEB for the most highly recommended Home Alarm System and Frontpoint was the choice. I was immediately contacted and chose a system that would work for me. The system arrived a few days later and I installed it my (72 year old) self. I contacted the company to activate the system and we resolved some issues and I was thoroughly instructed as to the use and we went live. This was painless and easy. I now feel secure day and night. For a widow living alone in the countryside, this is a must!
I purchased a package to fit my new home, installed it myself, and have had use of it on several occasions. Everything is great except when you have need of the system. I live alone, and when my alarm went off in the middle of the night, waking me from a dead sleep, I was glad I had the warning. I felt totally secure and safe with them UNTIL I was asked to hang up the phone so they could call the police. Huh? They have only one phone? I have to hang up instead of having someone remain on the line with me until the police get there? Phooey on that! We are so happy with our new Frontpoint system. We got confused installing it (which feels incredibly stupid now) but the rep from Frontpoint was so patient and nice, walked us through the whole install. Then he (call rep Kenny), helped us test the system, set up time to practice where we can't set it off accidentally and did a practice run to make sure we knew how to turn it off and on and what settings we wanted. We even got disconnected at one point and he called us right back. After it was all said and done he followed up with the certificate we needed to get the discount on our homeowners insurance. Like others who have provided a review I got a very quick call from front point to go through their system. During the conversation I let him know what I found in research and was looking for.
Once he said he had done a detailed security plan after about 25 minutes I asked to be provided a quote via email. The promised follow-up call never happened not was the quote as promised. They asked a lot of questions that were based on my emotions - when I responded based on information gathered and needs it appeared I might not be their target customer. Makes me wonder who they would like as customers - informed and inquiring or others who may not be and are quite afraid.
I just called them, a lady answer the phone. she is very rude to me.
I just completed my installation and so far everything is working fine, including arming and disarming my system using my iPhone.

The personnel at FRONTPOINT are very knowledgeable and do their very best to make sure that they help with any concerns you might have. The system speaks for it's self. I reviewed several systems and am convinced theirs is 5 star! That's why I purchased one and after a year and a half there have no issues. GREAT SYSTEM!!!
Easy to install & extremely reliable. We have alerts sent to our Android in the event we leave without arming. Through the app, you can easily & quickly arm the system. That is exactly what happened on our latest trip to PA from MA. We were so excited that we both forgot to arm the system! When we made a stop in CT, I noticed an alert on my phone. Panic set in & I quickly logged on the app &, presto, system armed! We've only had to call customer service a couple of times, mostly when the system was new. Each time we were instantly connected to a very friendly & helpful associate. Frontpoint is one of the best decisions we've made & the peace of mind is priceless!
I was a customer for 5 years with this company. I live in Florida but I am in Wisconsin for business I get a call this morning that my alarm is going off. 1st off the monitoring dept could not tell me which alarm is going off, only zone 14. So what is that? A motion sensor, door sensor, or glass break sensor? Then I was immediatly told well what do you want to do call the cops? oh and you may be charged for the police showing up. I pay you guys to be my eyes and ears when I am not home just like I pay insurance to protect me, or my CPA to do my taxes. I've had Front Point for 4 years now. My initial research was thorough. Indeed they were the best at that time, and maybe still are. All my experiences with them have been positive so far. No representative has has ever been rude me. All calls with them have been very helpful. After a seconds attempt was made to break into our home, and thwarted by the security system, they followed up with me and asked if there was anything they could do to improve my service, and ultimately sent me a $250 seconds camera for free. Two and a half years into my contract with Frontpoint, I actually had an emergency occur one night in mid-May. At 2am, my alarm went off. I went from being dead-asleep to being absolutely TERRIFIED. I allowed the alarm to continue ringing until I heard from the company's monitoring rep. FINALLY, she called. While on the phone, I actually warned this woman that "I THINK THIS IS THE REAL THING". I grabbed a huge butcher knife from my kitchen and told her I had to investigate my house. I was so scared, my brain barely registered that she had given me a 1 minute time frame to check my house.
