I have had two issues with Liberty Home Guard over the last 3 months. Both my HVAC and my refrigerator went out. Liberty Home Guard had fine print on both to deny the claim, but in both cases, because I am a "valued customer" agreed to give me a small amount towards their replacement. In the case of the HVAC, it amounted to only 10% of the cost, and in the case of the refrigerator, only 20%.
I contacted Liberty Home Guard for help with my HVAC air filters. Even though I didn’t have the maintenance package, they went above and beyond by managing the project. They found a service provider and secured a great rate. I’m truly grateful for LHG coming through!
When our dishwasher broke down, Liberty Home Guard had a repair person at our home within 48 hours. The issue was diagnosed and fixed within a few hours, and everything was cleaned up before they left. I’m thrilled with the service and the fast turnaround. Grace at Liberty Home Guard was wonderful. My central vacuum broke down, and she had a repair person come to my house within 24 hours. The repair was completed in under an hour. I've had their coverage for 4 years now, and their home warranty has always been amazing.
UPDATE: Tried to buy my opinion by offering an “elevated” refund if I signed a release that would prevent me from writing the truth about my experiences. I didn’t agree. Would give a negative rating if the system allowed it. Totally dissatisfied with the “service” by Liberty Home Guard (LHG). They’re very good at hard sell, trying to convince you how they’re better than the competition. They even have an excuse why they’re not accredited with the Better Business Bureau, saying their ownership has changed and systems have been updated, and they’re now a much-improved company. Used an unlicensed HVAC tech to perform partial installation, then paid tech for non completed work, then asked me to pay an additional $1700 to finalize an installation that was never finished, but was paid for. Paid $6289 in February, it's now June 4 and Liberty has taken zero action to correct this. Caveat emptor folks. Liberty will absolutely not take responsibility for their mistakes. They paid a vendor for work that was never marked complete, then expect me to pay the same installation fee again to fix the installation performed by a liberty provided tech who didn't have an HVAC license in my state per the HVAC board. Expect your urgent emergency claims to be treated with the lowest priority and your calls/emails to be ignored. Don't believe the sales reps when they assure you prompt assignments with in 24-48 hours we have never had a claim resolved in less than 14 days, in some cases they take over a month to get someone assigned. During that time you'll be repeatedly told someone will get back to you same day, they never will.
Another great year using Liberty Home Guard’s service. Thank you to George for helping me get set up with my fifth renewal! They did an outstanding job with our HVAC claim this year.
Best service. Their reps are all easy to understand with strong communication skills. The total home guard plan I purchased with them has saved me thousands. I’ve never had a claim they didn’t save me time and money on.
Liberty gets an A+ in my book. Their contractors are absolutely fantastic! Matthew sent me a guy to repair my furnace. He was truly a professional who knows his stuff! Was friendly, punctual and knowledgeable and was proactive giving me tips how to keep my furnace running for longer. All in, he spent about 3 hours fixing the issue when he was at my house, on-site.
I filed a claim for my hot water heater on October 7th. This company takes between 1-3 business days to make EVERY single decision. EACH STEP. I was assigned a technician the 9th. I was unable to reach the assigned tech. I was assigned a new tech, but he was a plumber and said I needed an electrician. I was charged a second fee of $80 to start a whole new claim (even though I clearly stated that I didn't have ANY idea what the issue was). The new tech was scheduled to show but never came. A guy showed up to diagnosis the problems and I'm STILL waiting for any resolution. I have paid $160 and waited 3 weeks. It is now October 26th. This company is horrible. Use UHP instead. Our broker strongly recommended us getting started with Liberty, and it was a very smart and well thought our recommendation. We’ve had 2 claims for the past 9 months, one where we lost power and another with a leaking pipe. Naomi from customer service was great in both instances. We got the help quickly and the techs were superb both times - punctual, experienced, and respectful. Very good service both times, never regretted enrolling with them.
This company is the best. We’ve saved thousands of dollars in the first year of using them. 100% a worthwhile investment. It may take longer than if you handle things yourself, even though that was almost never the case for us but they come through, especially financially. Our Air Conditioner was replaced by them, and while it took 16 days to get done, they saved us $6,500 off of retail. Point is, it was well worth the wait. They’ve been extremely accommodating to us and we are grateful
Your team was professional, responded to our requests in a timely fashion and most importantly, fixed our pool during the last days of summer. I am still somewhat cautious due to malpractice by another home warranty provider but Liberty has certainly gotten off to the right foot with me. We’ve saved 75% of what we’ve spent on the policy so far just on this pool claim alone. It seems to be worth the money.
Cannot say anything negative about Liberty Home Guard. Every aspect of my dealings with them have all been positive 🤗. Last month, I reported a claim on a Monday morning and the lovely agent I spoke with was able to source a contractor who allocated an appointment for me the next day. The technician came right on time and resolved the issue, getting my washing machine operable again. Strongly recommend them.
Excellent customer service!!! They repaired my washing machine within 8 hours of submitting my claim! Insanely quick turnaround, which of course we are very satisfied with!
Liberty has been good to us, we bought our house in 2020 and since purchasing the house, we have had a few issues with appliances. All of which were remedied by Liberty quickly and economically for us. When my septic system started acting up they were there for us. I am glad that our realtor recommended Liberty’s total home guard plan. For us it has proven well worth the price. I really have been a fan and happy consumer since we started with them in 2020.
We signed up for Liberty Home Guard’s appliance warranty right when we bought our home last year. They just replaced our refrigerator and their agents on the phone lines as well as the technician that they used were all super friendly and professional. We are hoping things will continue in this fashion, because if so, we will definitely be renewing our warranty with Liberty Home Guard when this one expires at the end of the year.
They helped me out in a big way when my garage door broke. We couldn’t use our cars! The technician they sent fixed the issue and also showed me how to manually open and close the door in case I ever have a break again in the future and I need to go somewhere.
LHG recently launched a customer portal on their website to allow customers to conveniently manage their home warranty accounts from anywhere at any time.
Currently, Liberty offers services in 46 states, including Washington, D.C. Customers only need to input their zip code into Liberty's website, and it will automatically tell them if they are living in a covered area.
