"Horrible is an understatement for the service of this company. First, they took 10 days to resolve the case of my fridge—no fridge for almost two weeks. Then they closed the case, stating they would only pay $200. There was no clear communication through text, phone, or emails. I found out through the technician, who almost never answers the phone. Their maximum payout is $1,500 with a lifetime cap of $3,000, and they find every excuse not to pay. My claim to replace the fridge was $975.92."
this is a horrible company, take your money every month. You follow their specific instructions to file a claim and it takes forever and than you are denied. There maximum is 1,500 with a lifetime of 3,000 dollars and they find every excuse not to pay. I needed electical work done no techs available in my area so they leave it up to me to find a tech. $660.00 later, claim denied. Need a new a/c unit, after 4 months no air, claim denied. Yet they are prompt to take your money every month. I am leaving bad reviews anywhere I can to advise people there are much better companies out there. This one sucks. First claim in two years of flushing my money

Review their contract fine print - they have a maximum amount for each type of repair they will pay out - Example - Sprinkler System - Most they will pay is $200 - Pumps- Water Heater- Roof $500. That’s after paying the repair deductible- Terrible customer service - never reach a manager - just a call center that deflects - Also - the Mediation Dept people actually are employees of the company. Very Bias

This company scams old people into buying a policy then when a claim is made they refuse for a reason that is so far fetched. My new AC did not pass inspection so I call Service Plus. They sent an AC company out. The diagnosis was a broken part. The part was under warranty but the labor was not. Service plus would not cover labor because the part is on "their list" of denied part repair. I asked for the labor to be covered ($337.50) and of course they said NO. They are a shady company. I have 5 warranties with these folks and have a claim to put in. I called them and they say it will be 24-48 hr for them to have someone come out. I think I made a big mistake getting these jokers. How long does it take to dial up an ac contractor, 30 seconds. Not what I would say is good service. I can't wait to see what the service will be like. My first encounter with these people is not a good one. More to follow.
This company is ridiculous, no ratings unless they are negative. I bought this coverage through the year 2028, Platinum policy and have sold the home I bought the coverage on. This policy cannot be transferred to my new home. So, I want to cancel my warranty and get the refund. Well If you cancel the premium skyrockets to $91 a month and Ive had the policy for 24 months therefore I do not have a rebate, What a bunch of Bull***t

Given all the comments below, how can this site possibly rate ServicePlus at 4.4 stars? The business is a scam. Our water heater pilot light failed to stay lit, taking it completely out of service. We called to submit the claim and entered a multi-month hell of unprofessional "technicians", allegedly incorrectly-ordered parts causing delays, and constant follow-up required by us to get any activity happening. Then last Saturday, a water sensor in the pan indicated the water heater was leaking. We attempted to contact the company, but could not, given that it was the weekend. Buyer beware! This company is a ripoff and will now honor your claim. I was denied for my heating claim I had a HVAC repairmen come and look at the system he stated " The system is not working due to normal wear and tear". This repair company Service Plus denied claim due to maintainance..The repairman also stated that they tried to get him to say that something on my part was wrong for the claim to be denied. PLEASE DO NOT use this company they will take your money every month but when you need them they are no where to be found!

If you want nothing but issues sign up with Service Plus. If you do decide to sign up with this company do extensive research. If I could rate it a zero I would.
Zero star, it's the worst company for Home Warranty. I had tried many but with Service Plus you will not get anything fixed. they will just find ways not to repair or replace your appliance and reps blame the consumer after charging the service fee and not sending anyone. my AC/HVAC outer unit broke and they simply told me that is not covered without sending anyone to physically look at just based on the earlier visit. and for Microwave after waiting for 5 weeks they told me that they cannot repair it and offered $100 which I still have to receive it waiting for almost 2 months now. Horrible choice on my part. Even when they did follow process.. their choice of contractors were sub par.. several of them I had to call only to find out that they no longer work with this warranty company because they don't pay the contractors. Emergency reimbursement process is not Home Warranty Friendly...
Stay away from Service Plus Hoem Warranty. To bad I couldn't give them less than one star. Terrible company.

I’m highly dissatisfied with Service Plus Warranty. In JANUARY I called regarding my washer not working, they sent someone out who stated he needed a part. Weeks went by nothing. I called they stated the part isn’t made anymore and they could send me a check for $200. A washer cost far more than $200. JUNE 16th (6 months later they sent the $200 check out via mail). Today it is JULY 21st (7 months after first inquiry) I have not received a check. I can wait 90 days for the check to cancel and they resend one or pay $35 for them to write a new check. If I could give it - stars I would. The service covered on the customer portal clearly states plumbing. After notifying them that I had a plumbing issue in my bathroom they located a plumber after about a week. The courteous plumber saw my problem and then said he was to collect $75.00. I gladly paid him assuming he was going to fix the problem. He came back 15 minutes later and said the company denied the service. He apologized profusely but said his hands were tied and that he was going to reevaluate whether to continue with Service Plus as he felt that it was almost theft. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company. They refused my claim for a water heater because the burner is longer working. They sent the own technician for diagnostic were reported to them burner is no longer make the manufacture. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!! It was obviously broken. They told me they will give $200. When I notified the service department that I wanted to cancel this non-service, I was belittled and told that I had a contract, and used the analogy that I could not break it because it was like "buying a car and deciding a month later you didn't like the color". They certainly take your money, but don't pay out!!! Over a year has passed with claim 727165 and I still haven't been paid. I have called so many times, I'm sick of talking with them. Absolutely no response to emails. Never send them your money.

had refrigerator claim 2022 2nd October were offered reimbursement of $300
Have Clothes Washing Machine since fall 2021 offered $275
It is now April 2023 after 10-20 phone calls no checks issued.
Maybe they can follow through. Considering other options.
After reading a few of the negative comments on this page I will just agree with everything I read. This is a nightmare company to try to get anything done and any home service company that cannot get techs to answer their service requests should be a warning. Of course one does not know that so before choosing this company or any home service co, call various service providers such as plumbers and electricians and find out if they will work for them before spending your money.
