Foremost Insurance Group was founded in 1952 and operated as an independent company until it was acquired in 2000 by insurance giant Farmers Insurance, which is itself a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group. </br> </br> Foremost has always specialized in insurance for RVs and mobile homes.

As such, it has developed considerable expertise in the RV insurance market and offers a wide array of RV coverage options, such as full-timers insurance. Its ownership by Farmers Insurance and in turn, their ownership by Zurich Insurance Group, suggests a solid financial base. The company primarily does business through its agent network, so people who prefer online communications options will be disappointed. Despite its age and its experience in the RV insurance market, the company's online reputation is poor, and includes a number of unaddressed or unresolved complaints with the BBB, which is the reason for their F rating.

Filed a claim with Foremost. I gathered all the information they required (weather report, estimates and pictures) and submitted them on my Travel Trailer for hail damage. I had to have several conversations with representative from Foremost who was always rude and tried to make me feel like a crook for filing a claim. Foremost of course denied the claim. Foremost even went as far as to try and blame me for the weather and that it was my own fault for the hail damage. A little background on why I even have Foremost, and it is because I switched to Farmers (Farmers is the parent of Foremost) from Gieco, which is apparently a huge mistake on my part. We have a 35 foot RV. Last year we were at a campground in MA and a tree limb fell on our roof doing a good amount of damage. We replaced the skylight and then drove home to Florida. We took the motorhome to a local shop, where we have been doing business for years. for a repair quote. The shop quoted approximately 16K for repairs. Foremost came back with a repair appraisal of 7,500.00. Included in there appraisal was buffing out dents, We were amazed at the difference in quotes. We insisted they send an appraiser to look at the vehicle. They then came back with an appraisal of 10,500.00 for repairs and sent me a check for that amount. This process took 2 months. I’ve had Foremost Insurance for years. Every time I’ve had a claim they were exceptional in their service. I highly recommended them. This site is sponsored by Good Sam. Don’t trust them

trailer had a water leek from rain and was told they will not cover it because there was no damage to the roof no punctures or tree damage very hard to get a hold of on the phone I will look for other companies not very good
