The Street Stock Tips Review
Services and Account Features
TheStreet is a research site that offers up-to-the-minute stock market news and analysis of global economic trends. The company separates its content for individual investors and professional financial advisors. It further breaks its research down into such categories as Funds, Stocks, REITs, Futures, Retirement, Technology, and Cryptocurrency. Investors can wade through a great deal of information on TheStreet for free, however multiple, customizable paid subscription plans offer curated content.
A full section of TheStreet’s content is devoted to contributions from the company’s founder, Jim Cramer. Cramer fans will find much to love about TheStreet, from videos to blog posts, though some Cramer content is only available with paid subscription plans. TheStreet also serves as a platform for marketing Cramer products and publications.
With as much research as the site offers, we were surprised to see that the company provides only a single keyword search box for users seeking to narrow content parameters to their specific interests.
Fees
TheStreet offers quite a few distinct subscriptions which customers can buy singly or bundle together at discounted rates. Users can tailor their subscription selection to their unique interests and budget parameters. TheStreet’s breakdown of the features included with each of its subscriptions could have been more detailed to simplify comparison of different plans. But each plan is available for a 14-day free trial to allow investors to discover plan details on their own.

Customer Experience
The articles posted on TheStreet run the gamut from research into specific stocks and funds to market sector analysis to personal finance topics of general interest. We found their free content very readable and much less technical than the research offered on competitive sites. We expect that when you pay for a premium subscription, there’s a lot more technical content to be found. But TheStreet might make a good once-a-day stop for investors with all levels of experience. The company offers several video channels you can tune into when you’re tired of reading, too, but you’ll have to watch an ad before each video begins. We found TheStreet to be a little bit heavy on ad content generally.
Reputation and Credentials
TheStreet’s reputation is intrinsically connected to that of its founder and major content contributor, Jim Cramer. Cramer could be described as a colorful character and his style is controversial. Some people love him, others hate him—he’s not too dissimilar from the stocks traded on Wall Street in this regard. Cramer openly discusses his power to manipulate markets, which some investors might find distasteful. Others might opine that Cramer is just more honest than other stock market pundits. But Cramer also has some impressive credentials. Harvard-educated (undergraduate and law), he did a stint at Goldman Sachs before starting his own hedge fund company in 1987. He operated that company for 13 years during which it achieved an average return of 24% and posted just one annual loss.

TheStreet itself. receives an A+ rating from the BBB, but that rating is based on only a single review. Similarly, the company receives 3 out 5 stars on Trust Pilot, also based on a single review.
