Overall Rating: 4.2 / 5 (Excellent)

Seven Corners is an excellent choice for both domestic and international travelers. The company was recently recognized as a Five Star company by Forbes magazine and, like many other travel insurance companies, has updated its coverage to provide financial protection due to pandemic-related events.
Seven Corners has a strong consumer focus and maintains a small-company ethos, despite being backed by large financially-solid underwriters such as Lloyds of London and United States Fire Insurance Company.

While Seven Corners does not offer the same concierge services some of its competitors do, it provides the most essential types of coverage for our times, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel medical, and lost or delayed baggage benefits. COVID-19 related cancellations and medical treatment are covered under Seven Corners some but not all Seven Corners plans. Customers are advised to read policies carefully before choosing one.

The company recently earned a 5-star rating in Forbes magazine's review of top travel insurance companies and earns an excellent rating from users on Trustpilot.

Seven Corners Plans & Coverage

Coverage - 4.5 / 5

Seven Corners offers a choice of nine plans. With as many options as they provide, it's likely you'll be able to find one that suits your travel plans and budget.

Standard coverages, included with all policies, are trip cancellation, trip interruption, emergency medical and evacuation services, and loss of personal property. The company also protects you against weather- and terrorism-related losses and offers riders for such concerns as rental car collision coverage, sporting events cancellation due to weather, extreme sports injuries, and more.

Depending on the policy you select, your coverage limits will vary. Seven Corners' most protective plan includes coverage of $500,000 in medical expenses and $1 million in medical evacuation and repatriation costs.

Some of Seven Corner's less expensive plans do require policyholders to pay a deductible on medical expenses, ranging from $250 to $500. We also noted that Seven Corners is fairly restrictive when it comes to pre-existing medical conditions, with an unusually long look-back period of anywhere from 20 days to twelve months, depending on the policy you select. If you suffer from chronic or recurrent illness, this might be an important factor to consider.

Want to feel like a cog in a wheel? Want your travel insurance company to given you the runaround while spending months and months on your claim? Want to be told your claim will be covered only for them to later deny your claim? Then buy seven corners! Guaranteed that they will smile in your face and then stab you in the back! repeatedly!

Horrible experience with their claims department. The claims process reportedly would take 1 month to process. It ended up taking over 5 months, and still it has not been resolved. I have called multiple times to try to expedite the process. Customer service is friendly, but the departments clearly do not communicate. I'm usually a big fan of travel insurance. Having worked with other companies in the past, I've had good experiences with other companies, and this is easily the worst.

We bought travel insurance from this company before checking the reviews and regret it!! We planned a trip to Paris with a cruise out of Le Havre. After all of the unrest and rioting in Paris I checked the State Dept website and found travel warnings for Paris. I decided to err on the side of caution and cancel the Paris portion and file a claim. The short answer is we were denied on appeal because there has to be a politically motivated terrorist attack and even then there is no guarantee. Check the fine print and more importantly look for a reputable company as we cannot even get our money back by cancelling the policy.

This is by far the worst, fraudulent company on the face of the planet. I took visitors insurance for my mom from this company with acute onset pre-existing coverage. After a few weeks here in the states, she contracted a UTI. I took her to the ER and she was treated for pyelonephritis. I had to pay out of pocket because they did not take Seven Corners. So I filed a claim for around $12,000 expecting for it to be covered "100%" after the deductible was met. THESE GUYS DENIED MY CLAIM! They said the UTI was caused by diabetes, even tho it's a new sicknesses. Their claims team is horrible and doesn't respond to any emails or calls. Everytime i do get a response the claims has to go through... Read More

I’ve never experienced such frustration and upset before filing a claim for insurance with Seven Corners. They are totally unresponsive and seem to do everything in their power to avoid paying my claim. I’ve been a customer for 3 years and have made only one claim. They do not respond to emails requesting a status update to the claim I made in December 2018. It is now May 2019 and I haven’t heard from them in a month. To avoid anymore upset, I have decided to give up on getting my claim paid. It’s just not worth my mental peace of mind.
