Wine Rating

Wines are chosen by a team of wine experts who sample over 2,000 bottles a year. On average, these experts approve 5 out of every 100 bottles sampled. Overall quality of Wine Insiders wines is on par with those found in wine chain stores, though Wine Insiders' collection of wines includes many that are exclusive to the company. There is a notable absence of wines with 90+ ratings, however customers who want to stick to lower-priced wines will find several dozen wines in the $10 to $15 dollar range.

Wine Insiders Review

Wine Insiders offers an excellent value with its introductory offer of 15 bottles for $89. Their introductory wines do not include any particularly pricey or highly-rated vintages, but quality seems to be on par with what you'll find at similar prices at large wine retailer chains and the collection offers a nice variety of wines produced outside the US. Similarly, their curated cases offer a lot of variety and afford wine drinkers the opportunity to explore new wines with every order.

I would not recommend Wine Insiders Wine Club. I ordered six bottles each for myself and the other as a holiday gift. The wine was in transit almost two weeks and every bottle was terrible, i.e. weak, foul tasting and not what was advertised. I contacted Wine Insiders and they are not honoring their guarantee which indicates the following directly from their web site: "Every bottle that we sell comes with our Double Satisfaction Guarantee: Every bottle will arrive in perfect condition, or we'll immediately send you a replacement. And, you will love every wine we send, or we'll send you a free alternative, or give you a refund." I contacted them and was told that they will not provide any... Read More

They recently ran promo for 15 bottles of red and gave you option to pay extra 28.00 to upgrade to receive premium wines. I believe my overall cost was 105.00 for the 15 bottles so 7.00 per bottle, needless to say I wasn't expected much and guess what? I didn't much in the terms of very good quality wine either. A few bottles were just undrinkable and the ones that were tolerable can only be described as very thin and watery . This is my second go around with wine insiders and each time I'm disappointed with the quality of their wines. So never again will I order their wines no matter how tempting the offer. I can find way better 7.00 bottle of wines at my local retailer. Fool me... Read More

I received a Groupon Coupon for You Wine Insiders Club. 15 Bottles. (for Christmas) This coupon did not allow me to pick out any specific wines. It was grouped as 15 red or 15 White or a mix. and I had to pay $30 shipping for my own gift! I am a wet, sweet wine lover, I despise dry wines. When the wines were delivered, Imagine my surprise in the DUST on the bottles! really? How impressive was that! and the wines..all but 2 of them have NO description of whether they are sweet, dry, etc. I am wondering how many of these wines are going to be dumped down the drain. If you are considering purchasing a Coupon to this Wine Club for someone. DON'T DO IT!

I just received my 1st order from "Wine Insiders". After not hearing from them for 2 days after making my order, I found out via chat that my order would be held up for a couple of weeks due to a "back order". The back order was a cheap corkscrew, which I told them to forget about. The wine included a bottle of "Freschello Vino Bianco" which is an extremely cheap supermarket wine in Italy. When I say cheap, I mean $2.36 including tax. Not euros, but US dollars. Their wine is touted as expensive wine direct from the growers, which in this case is pure t crap. You think you are getting a decent price for decent wine at $80/case. But if all of it is as cheap as the Freschello, that makes it... Read More

Claimed they shipped wine to a non-shipping address. Then charged me for a membership fee and am still battling them to refund the charges. Their membership is hidden in their terms and conditions under their confirm payment button. Don't even buy a promotion deal from them. It is a scam.

Bought a Groupon 15 bottles of whites for my husband for Christmas. Shipment arrived with dusty bottles inside. Embarrassing gift. Not looking forward to tasting these due to the presentation upon opening. Won’t buy again.

We've been very satisfied and happy customers for nearly 3 years now. Not once have we had a single bottle that wasn't "quite acceptable" to "marvelous". I'm certain that the wines we've enjoyed from Wine Insiders that average less than $8/bottle are the equivalent of wines that would cost us at least $15-20/bottle at our local store. And, we don't have the problem with "duds" that always found a way to our table when we bought at the store. Wine Insiders has totally changed the way we put wine on the table.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Wine Insiders. Shipments are always on time and just as ordered. We like the wide variety and selections we had never tried before. Sometimes there may be a bottle not to our liking, but we are adventures If one only like sweet wines its best to buy them in the grocery store, Mogen David has made them for may years. And Lets face it, no one should expect to pay $7.00 and get a $50.00 bottle of wine. We have always received a good value on our purchases from wine Insiders
