After NINE YEARS a very shady part of the gutter screen system developed a moss build-up, water could no longer pass through and an overflow condition happened. I called the service department and a service truck arrived, assessed the problem and replaced the clogged screens. No more problems. The service was NO CHARGE!!! Thanks for standing behind your products. AFTER NINE YEARS!!!
This was my first venture into gutter systems, and I can say when they are installed and glued correctly they work excellent. This review is not about the product but about the service to expect when you work with LeafFilter. Expect a hard sell, the salesman will insult you if you want to get a second opinion or if you want to wait to talk it over with your spouse. - this is where the discounts start piling on. In my case the first amount quoted verbally was $9,000 but after debating to kick the guy out of my house the price started dropping down to 7k them 4k and finally down to 3.25k for the install. Had Leaf Filter install two days ago, The workmanship doesn’t look good, I was told by Sales, that they only use Leaf Filter employees no contractors, that a crew will be out with the supervisor check in on them, that didn’t happen, one man showed up a contractor, I can see it protruding at the front of the house, he also did everything from on top of the roof, leaving sheet metal screws in the driveway, contacted Sales back and his comment said they had to use contractors that they don’t use employees, asked for a foreman to come out and check the work, said he be out in two days in the morning, I waited called Sales , He stated they would come out the next day, basically a no call no... I just had a LeafFilter installation. In my experience, the installation was botched, they did nothing that they said they would do in terms of thorough cleaning, inspection, sealing of leaks or checking to ensure that gutters were pitched properly. They disturbed the roofing shingles and have caused issues for my roof warranty. I called on installation day to raise issues and was treated like an idiot. "We don't use water because its messy." Water in gutters is messy? They used some local gutter cleaning company to slap them on as fast as possible. They have promised to send an inspector out; never happened. Never got call backs. WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Yes, their sales pitch was "over the top". Showed pictures of famous people who "vouched" for their company, told glorious stories about all the "good press" they've had. Top ratings from the BBB. Boy, what a snow job!!! The first heavy rain we had, the water came cascading over the gutter because of the way they installed the gutter under the roofing. Now we have to worry about the heavy rains pouring down and causing damage to the soil, which in turn could damage the foundation of our home. Terrible installation. After 2 days still not completed. Had broken ladder and were not prepared for the job. Would not use them.
We contracted with Leaffilter to have installation done. They failed to show up on the day it was scheduled. We called 3 times that day and no return call, even though customer rep said they would. We called the next day, 2 times, and no one called back. We called the third day and were told someone would call by 5pm. No one ever called. I know my phone was working because other calls came through. They broke the contract by not showing up or calling to say would be late or need to reschedule. Customer service was no help. Will never do business with them again. D.K.
Heavy winds tore them out of my gutter and customer service said they would not replace them. I am very disappointed they would not stand by their product
I had Leaf Filter installed on my home in Kansas City, I think it is a decent product. I experienced a problem. It has been ongoing for over two months. They are horrible in communicating with customers. After several calls not returned and appointments not kept I did finally get a person to plan a solution, I thought a fix was coming but he got fired and I have to start the process all over. Calls not returned, appoints made but no one shows up with no call, just a no show. I get the excuses, we are swamped, it rained, or we fired that guy. Horrible. Save your money.
Of course your gutter stay clean. Even the water can't get in.
The water bypasses the gutters and comes straight to the ground as if there is no gutters at all.
i called, emailed and sent letters to Leaf Filter and they refused to answer.
My flower gardens and mulch beds were being destroyed so I had to hire someone to remove the product.
so I lost several thousand dollars.
