I love the technology of the product- it is made to last as long as the property. Surgical steel is top quality and sturdy and the hard vinyl casing with built in water troughs that the mesh fits in is perfect. The installers were thorough and very nice.
This is the worst investment i ever made, nothing but problems since they were installed, we have lived in our house since 1998 and never had problems like we have now with these gutter filters! We should have just keep getting our gutter cleaned once a year, that was much better. I can't wait to leave a review about this product, NOT TO WAIST YOUR MONEY!
First off they were late no calls , then the worker left pieces of the aluminum nails and stuff he cut off in the yard and when mowing I found them the hard way . Also they damaged my gutters and instead of bringing out the correct color of gutter they bring out white and the spray paint it ! I later find another gutter that had holes from a sawzall that punched through from cutting off the aluminum nails that originally held the gutter up . I have made several attempts to get this resolved and still nothing but a bunch of excuses of firing previous workers that had trouble with after sending them out and having several complaints about there work . After paying 2800.00 dollars for about 100 feet of just the leaf filter product on a ranch house in
streamwood,illinois found out that my next door neighbor on a raised house with also about 100
feet of leaf filter product not only got theirs installed for only 500 dollars but also replaced all their
gutters and downspouts for a total cost of only 1,100 dollars by the same men that installed mine
the very next week. Then about 3 months later a neighbor on the next block got theirs installed for
only 500 dollars with also about 100 feet of just a leaf filter product and again using the same guy(s)
that installed mine.
We are terribly disappointed with LeafFilter Gutter Gurards customer service. The rep. came out to give us a price, after waiting several days the installers came out and they will not work on our roofs. First of all, they didn't come out when supposed to, after repeated calls to customer service, they finally showed up to tell us that they will not work on our roofs, with the promise that the district office would call us asap. A day later we stilll have not received a call from them.
I have had LeafFilter for several years. I have had to have someone come and repair it every year and this year is no different. I need it either replaced or money back. I'm tried of having to call and no one return calls or send anyone until I've tried multiple times to contact them. The water comes down like a water fall. The debris lays on top of the gutter guard. The water is running down to the sidewalk into my basement. It seeps into the windows and is causing water damage.
We (my wife and I) have had Leaf Filter gutter guards installed on our house in August of 2018 we are very satisfied and just recently had 5 inch gutters and Leaf Filter gutter guards installed on our 20 foot by 24 foot garage on May 2, 2019 we were very satisfied with the two men from Fitz Construuuction (David and Ron) they are two very professional workers who did a fine job and were very sure that we were satisfied with the job when they were done. They took about and extra 45 minutes of work to make sure my side entryway door cleared the bottom of the newly installed gutter, it was a very close fit, but they worked until I was happy that the door cleared the bottom of the gutter. Don’t buy Leaf Filter. Leaves and pine needles lay on top of filter and block water from flowing into gutter. Water from heavy rain runs over the filter and discharged over edge of gutter. Holes are too small to drain water from roof. Contractor was bad. Bent my gutters. I trusted them based on the salesman’s pitch. Cost too much. Still have to clean the trash that collects on the leaf filter cover. What a waste.
Worst investment we have made. Pine needles accumulate on filters to 4 inch in depth. Now we need to clean the screens. Ice buildup over edge of gutter melts with the Spring thaw leaving waterfall over the edge. Icicles formed on dripedge over the winter. Heavy rain was not accomodated, just cascading over the edges. DO NOT INVEST IN LEAF FILTER!!!!!!!!!!
I have had the worst experience with leafilter on my home.
I had them do both gutters and their guard. When they estimated the downspouts they channeled all the water from our main roof right over my back door and it constantly gets clogged causing a waterfall right over the back door. Several calls, and even a service tech came to the house and agreed I need an additional downspout. I even agreed to pay for it and cannot get the issue resolved.
While the product may be great, my experience is far from it. I would not recommend this product.
