Aetna is the worst insurance I have ever had. They say they cover prenatal 100%, but since I have a high risk pregnancy, they are not. Finally found that out from my doctor after calling Aetna every month for 5 months and not only not being told that, but having to be on the phone with their awful customer service at least 40 min a call and once for over 2 hours. Right now, I am working on something they are refusing to cover that they initially said they would with other another provider too. Unfortunately, this is what is offered through an employer, so we don't have options. What the heck are we paying premiums for? Crappy high deductible insurance that doesn't seem to cover much... Customer service is the worst. They talk to you like they are doing you a favor. They don't listen to your concerns and offer very little assistance. As soon as I can, I will be switching to a different insurance company.

Aetna....Worst insurance in USA!: So confuse, all refers are denied. Very difficult to call offices. You get from CVS the over the counter stuff that neither the CVS workers want to buy, terrible every thing. If you get Aetna with Chen Clinic as your health provider you are going to be in hell (el infierno) both are an evil combination, Chen doctors are fine, they do their best and cure you, but the administrative process from Chen Clinic headquarter are going to make you sick back again . I will comply with the Social Security, Insurance Commission, Better Business Buro, and the Attorney General, in fact I maybe will record all the terrible bureaucracy about this mediocre... Unlike most of the reviews I have had a terrible experience with Aetna health care. I went in for a preventative mammogram which was to be 100% covered per the Aetna representative I spoke with. I called in advance and the representative called the location I was going to and then confirmed with me that the center was in network. They did mention that depending on which radiologist reviewed the results that they may or may not be in network but that I would not have to cover this as it was out of my control. I received a $408 bill. I spent over 30 mins on the phone with yet another representative to try and get this resolved. This is far too much hassle and time spent on a 100%... Read More

I was recently scheduled to have cervical spine surgery since the disc in my spine are starting to press on my nerves. I've been on pain medicine for years and have been back and forth to the doctors for years. I have done everything that my doctor asked me to do and finally did physical therapy in which the next step would be surgery. I was scheduled for surgery and had made arrangements with my job and people to help me out during my recovery, I even did my pre op and paid my doctor for his portion of the surgery, however the day before my surgery the insurance denied my claim (the insurance knew about the surgery for three weeks). It's dangerous for me to drive because I have limited... Read More

I'm not sure how people can call this a good insurance plan. I am paying 45-55% out of pocket and can't afford to go to the Dr. anymore. They also taut their website as being the best, but I have a huge problem finding the right providers. I am searching for a provider, they don't exist. I try to find a hospital, I don't know how to spell the name, and if I search for it another way it comes up as #1 result (spelled the exact way I did ????) Then I try to use the filter which does nothing to the search. I tried by distance, returns are random, I tried by affiliation, results are random even though I am looking for Dr. in the hospital I chose. Then I said, ok I can narrow it by female vs...
