With many custom hearing aids priced in the thousands of dollars, MDHearingAid offers an affordable option for consumers on a tight budget. While the company's devices don't offer as many high-tech features as conventional prescription hearing aids do or use a custom ear mold fitting, they offer many basic features and a few bells and whistles for far less than you might expect.

The company offers three hearing aid models to choose from. Each costs less than $800 per pair. MDHearingAid also recently introduced a TV amplifier product that can assist customers who aren't ready to step up to true hearing aids, but rather, just need a little help when enjoying TV with friends and family. The company employs a round-the-clock support team to make using their devices easier and a dedicated Insurance Team that helps customers select products that are covered by their plan and even files insurance claims on their behalf. I had a lot of problem with this product...I think it could have worked better had I been able to have had an in person assistant to perhaps customize the aid. First it caused itching in the ear...and second seemed as if some kind of warm product was running down inside my ear...very disturbing. When I took the ear plugs out I was frightened that I was not able to hear very well for more than an hour ...scarry. The MD people were nice and gave me the RMA without any hassle. I will try to purchase another but with guidance from an audiologist. Perhaps I am just too old to fiddle around with this thing in my ear trying to adjust the volume and the back noise...etc.

March 2020 I ordered two AIR hearing aids. April 2020 I requested return authorization for the left ear unit. I think that it worked fine but that ear was beyond what this unit could do. The unit for the right ear is very impressive in how well it works for me. Normally I have been able to use it on the one setting. Two time I have turned it up to three or four. The next morning while cleaning I found the tube to the ear plugged with ear wax. After cleaning it worked fine. My wife and some customers have commented that it is easier to have conversations with me. Thank you. Fred Warren Marquette, Michigan

This is my second pair of hearing aids and if I could go back in time, I would have been much happier with the hearing aids I purchased from your company. The old ones were 4 years old and I originally paid $3000. In that time, they needed to be repaired 4 times. I have had these Volt hearing aids for 4 days and I cannot believe the wonderful sound quality. My old ones always cause me to hear things that hindered me from hearing the sounds I wanted to or needed to hear. I went for a ride in my car today and I turned on the radio. My old hearing aids gave me the wind going past the car on the outside with the windows shut along with the sound of the engine in a car that should be relatively... Read More

I finally caved in to my family’s requests to purchase hearing aids. They were fed up after enduring my TV watching habit of TV volume at 100 pct, & remote speaker volume just as loud. Wish I had bought these years ago. Easy to use, hardly noticeable. Excellent quality at a reasonable price.

I bought two lifecore bluetooth hearing aids. They came with the lifecore smartphone app. You are able to custom setup each ear with audiologist quality. It has 4 programs for different environments, I keep mine on auto. They are so comfortable I forget they are in my ears. The first time I wore them I turned tv volume down 50%. The next day 50% more again. Sounds are clear no feedback. completely normal. I can hear my wife now she doesn't have yell at me. This is the best investment I have made. I am very happy with my lifecore bluetooth hearing aids.

Cheap units. Poor quality. Probably should have not expected more. Lost one u nit. Purchased replacement. Went to clean the tube and it broke off in the unit called and told it was not covered under warrantee. Wrote them and two weeks later got a call that (as a favor) they would repair it under warrantee. they gave me an RA. I sent it in and received a call that it was not broken, should they return it. I said yes. A few days later I receive an invoice in the mail for a $49 repair. That was two weeks ago. Still don't have the unit back. Very questionable operation.

Bought a pair of these about 4 years ago. After about a year of successful wearing I found I was qualified to rcv a pair of custom HA from the VA. After 3 years of the VA HA, they broke down and were sent off to be repaired. I merely went back to my MD Pro HAs! They still are a bit finicky to set the volume on, but they still work. And they are a LOT better than nothing while I wait for my Custom HAs! They are excellent for what they cost!

Having brought a pair of the Core hearing aids my comments are: in less than 120 days both have been returned due to various failures. one was replaced and works satisfactory. The other was "repaired" same problem still exists. Most of the customer service reps I have spoken to are not focused on problem solving or customer satisfaction, first reaction it's your fault, second reaction send it back. One rep. was great took an interest and was very helpful. Overall reaction to the product; I would go to COSCO spend a little more and get a better guarantee and seeming better service. Just what my wife is doing.

I googled the place and received an address in Chicago. They appear to have one analog and two digital models. I think if I was desperate, I might use this as an option (I am a lifetime user of hearing aids, always analog.) It would probably be the only way I could afford digital hearing aids and I could always go to an audiologist to get custom ear molds made. It may not be a serious contender but it's certainly worth considering if there aren't any better options financially.

Hearing aid did not work. Returned it twice. Both times the company only returned the earpieces and not the hearing aid itself. Called the company to resolve, was hung up on, misdirected to other representatives. Was also told they would call back. Each time I called the representative tried some double-talk, or claimed they didn't understand what I meant. Very frustrating. All we want is a working hearing aid to replace the non-working one that was sent back. What a scam.
