Ive had a horrible experience using the Wyndham rewards points. They dont communicate with Points.com who is the vendor they use for the point system. I needed a refund as i didnt know you could only buy 10,000 a year there for i ended up being stuck with an amount that wouldnt get me a hotel of my choosing. I called in less than 15 minutes of making this accidental purchase and was bounced around by Wyndham back to points.com and then again from points.com to Wydnham. Horrible customer experience on both sides. I will not use either of these businesses again.

Their rewards website is terrible! I've had my card for 3 years and I've never once been able to log in to my rewards account without having to call customer service or re-set my password. Calling customer service nearly makes my brain explode - the insincere script reading increases the frustration ten-fold. When I asked for a US-based call center, I was on hold for 20 minutes, had to hang up, because I have a job. And I still can't log in.

Not at all pleased with Wyndham Rewards. Hidden fees and taxes double the cost of rewards and promotions even when you check and double check in advance. It will be less expensive for us to forfeit the cost of the scam promotion than to try to take advantage of it and pay the outrageous fees and taxes that are added on at the end of the stay.

When you call the rewards number to redeem your point it is a absolute circus. The majority of the Agents give you different answers regarding the beginning amount of rewards points that you can use. There have been instances where the Agents are very rude. There have been times when we were admonished for calling to often and asking for Extra Points. How are you to redeem your points unless you call or Stop the Agents for giving you Extra point when they offer them? There a hand full of Agents (3) who seem to know what they are doing but the rest need to counseled or retrained. This program needs to reviewed and.or revamped.

I have had several issues. Buyer beware, there is a lot of fine print and no forgiveness. They push their credit card. Poor customer service!

I had a reservation at LaQuinta Sawgrass Mills and upon check-in, I was told that there were no rooms available as there was a concert in the area (BB&T Arena Fort Lauderdale). They filled the rooms on a "first come, first served" basis. I had the reservation well in advance and when I questioned how it was possible that they were allowing guest WITHOUT reservations to have room, I was told that than they were not honoring reservations. They can get a higher rate from walk-ins!!! I agree with so many of the comments here. Marriott has a much, much better program! The only reason that I even booked at this particular hotel is that it was right next to where I needed to be in the... Read More

Wyndham Rewards/Barclay credit card customer who used to stay 15-18 nights a month for business travel. Nice way to rack up credit card points. Just recently (and without notice) they changed their redemption policy. Used to be 15,000 points got a free night at any Wyndham that had vacancy. Now the higher-end vacation and big city locations are 30,000 points, which is an obvious devaluation of benefits. Frustrated. Will be looking for other credit card options with better rewards.

My friend and I went to Clearwater beach and this nice gentleman (Kristopher) stop us as we were walking and ask if we were married told him no that we were just friends on vacation together. He told us about Wyndham and the points system and ask if we would like a free night stay at any Wyndham resort all we had to do was to go and tour the hotel and listen to the speech and maybe buy into it. Not really my kind of fun but we did it. I sign in first and then my friend sign in we sat down and started talking and this guy by the name of Richard (which talk about his career in the military and how much his shoe and shirt cost) came and took us together and after almost 2 hours we both... It appears that Wyndham is the only rewards program of its type that removes points after an 18 month inactivity period. Other programs do not have such a policy. As most people raising children there have been times of inactivity. In 2012 wyndham replaced my points after going over the period and I used wyndham loyally since that time until 2018-19 when a was diagnosed for a life threatening illness. After surgeries and recovery period my wife and I decided to start travelling again but noted that when I began searching accommodations my points had expired a couple weeks earlier. I contacted the program and received the following response. Hello Dan, Thank you for contacting... Read More
