The whole project, from start to finish was handled professionally, from a “no pressure” sales visit to a top of the line installation. When we had questions, our salesman steered us in the right direction to get the best answers, then acted as our advocate when some financing questions arose. Likewise, our installers were courteous and efficient and showed the value of their experience in window installation. The work was completed in two days, with a perfect match to the exterior siding, perfect interior finishing and perfect cleanup at job completion. Home Depot did what no other window contractor offered to do....replace only the windows we wanted replaced, without trying... Read More

I had another company replace my original wooden Windows when the house was 20 years old. The seals started to break in 10 years and the company had gone out of business. Not good. Looked at Home Depot Windows and a sales rep came to the house. We signed on and were extremely happy with the installation and customer service. The windows were excellent. Never a leak of cold air. When we put the house on the market a rep camera to the house to order two windows that broke the seal. They replaced them, no problem. The lifetime Warranty was transferred to the new owners. Excellent windows for the frigid Norteast.

3 weeks late sales and installation people hide and installed window is loose in the frame . We will not allow HD on our property they can keep the last window it doesn’t look like we’re getting it anyway and it looks like a refund will have to come out in court .

My experience with Home Depot has been horrible. It took about 6 months for job to be completed !! and for 2 windows the installer came to my house 6 times!! meaning that 6 days I had to take a day off, move everything out of rooms and cover everything with plastic !! 6 times !!! I just could not believe it. They got the window size wrong 3 times !!! and 1 time the sent a person who were not skilled enough to do the project. Funny thing was that one time they brought 1 window with a wrong size instead of 2 windows suggesting that they dont even check the number of the windows let alone the size of windows!. Not to mention that every single time they were at least 2 hours late (they always... Read More

The day the installers left I was happy but within a few months I noticed defects in workmanship. Caulk shrunk back to allow water to pass the cheap aluminum trim. Trim hides damage to your wood sashes and frames so this is an important issue. Workmanship is supposedly guaranteed for life and I paid Home Depot over $24,000 to replace some windows so felt this should be taken care of and although the service manager said they would take care of it, it has been months since this was reported and still no repairs have been made. They do not honor their warranty.

The warranty on American standard casement windows is not worth the paper that it is written on. I bought the windows in 2001. The hardware and integrity of the windows were guaranteed for life. This year 1) A hinge failed. In the past I was able to obtain parts. This year I was told that they no longer make that hinge. The hige was made by Truth hardware. I was able to buy the hinge on Amazon. 2) One of the windows became cloudy. When a window broke a few years ago I was able to buy a replacement mounted in a sash. When I tried to obtain a replacement for the failed window, I was sent a piece of glass. This is useless because the glass and sash are welded, and the glass cannot be taken... Read More

The communication from the start,...not so good, but HD did manage to install the windows on the date they said. Installers seemed to do a good job. Windows are really nice. That being said, the customer service and warranty are horrible. They sell you on their customer service and warranty, but after you pay.......that all goes out the window. No one returns calls, no one follows through with what they say if you manage to get a hold of them. Disappointed with customer service and warranty. We have been waiting for a replacement screen that was torn at installation for over 5 weeks and finally when someone else called, the screen hadn't even been ordered by the manager that said he...
