Thank you all for putting in a review. I also received a quote and it sounded to good to be true. I had decided to go with them but the representative as been slow with closing the deal. So I have had plenty of time to research and talk to my regular agent to find out they are indeed to good to be true. Stay with what you know and don't give into greed about saving money on such a huge investment. Or it will be bigger than your are ready for.
I have had their ins since 1959, NGI has changed. They have people with cold hearts working now. I hit an elk in Oregon and I know the damage incurred, they are denying many parts of the damage claiming it old damage with no proof. I have photos and dates showing no damage. I asked for their proof in writing and they replied with a notice of cancellation. I contacted 15 shops in So CA and all off the record said NGI is the most difficult to deal with always denying this and that. They are all afraid to loose business by speaking out. omg. we just insured with them on our new travel Coleman RV. It's been a month already having issues. They say our regular insurance is reporting we have an at fault accident which is not true. Our insurance says they do not show us with an at fault so premium went from $382/yr to over $700! They said if we send proof we aren't at fault it will drop to $434/yr if we pay the year in full up front. If not it's $512. We are still considered a risk so we no longer qualify for the $382 if they remove the at fault . I think we are going elsewhere after reading these comments about them. Thank God we haven't gave them but $77.00 so far!
I was going to see and potentially buy a motorhome on Sunday and do the paperwork on Monday. I called Good Sam asking the best advise so I can be covered on Monday morning after the transfer on the DMV. They said that will be better to gather all RV info and do all the paperwork and down payment on the previous Friday. If in case the deal do not go through, to call her on Monday for an immediate refund. I did left a message with the agent the same Sunday as the deal did not go through. Got quote from Good Sam Insurance (National General) for 12 months coverage on our motorhome. Price was competitive but when we started to pay and give them a credit card number, they said the quote was only for six months! All my documentation we have that I printed clearly stated in several places that it was for 12 months. They refused to honor the written quote that THEY sent me. The people are out and out crooks!
got insurance on home was told it was better than I had, with less deductible but when time to renew it went up. I stay with them, wished I hadn't wind and hail damage they charged me for deductible plus depreciation making my deductible almost 6;000 dollars nation General the under writer for Mountain Valley Indemnity Company watch what you wish for like The TV says not the insurance check the agent Good Sam's put it to me
Bought National General Insurance thur Good Sam. Five months pass and start getting emails about reviewing my policy. Spend next 3 weeks trying to talk to someone about my policy review. When I finally get someone to talk to they tell me that my rates are going up $ 80.00 dollars a month. Told them I would find somthing else because I had no claims and thought that was ridiculous. They blamed it on a rate increase in Texas. I cancled may policy the day it was due. Today I recieved a bill for $ 97.00 for ONE day of coverage. Dont even insure with them !! Horrible customer response !! To busy ripping off people to care about your repairs... Then to top off will almost double your rate !! bait and switch .. RUN RUN RUN from this insurance company,,
I bought an extended warranty from Camping World of Bartow Florida - I NEVER received a copy in my packet of papers from the dealership. My #1 complaint is that NO ONE ever told me I have to cover ALL freight - I was told the only thing I would ever pay was the deductible. My rig is a 2014 Keystone Alpine 3600RS fifth wheel - I just had to replace my steps for the second time since I've owned this - the first time was covered by original warranty. Camping World of Bartow Florida just charged me over $96.00 for freight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am currently rethinking my whole Good Sam policies I had switched everything to Good Sam ..
Looks like a bad idea ..Insurance is awful and towing is a close second.
