My boss sent three bouquets of sunflowers from Avas flowers to me and two other assistants in our office - spent over $175. We thought he was so cheap when we received these, but when we saw the bill, we can see it wasn't his fault. The 5 Sunflowers in each bouquet were wrapped with twine and brown paper JUST LIKE IF YOU PURCHASE FROM SAFEWAY for about $8. Also the card was so BADLY written. All the names spelled wrong, and the writing was a like a little child. TERRIBLE! Don't buy from them, the pictures online NO WAY match what we received and the price was OUTRAGEOUS. Saw they have a litany of complaints on the BBB too.

Ordered flowers for a friend's retirement needing them delivered Friday 4/30/21. Selected Avas Flowers thinking they were a small business and like to support local businesses. Received a call after noon on 5/1, the day after the scheduled delivery, informing that the flowers would be delivered the following Tuesday...4 days after my requested delivery date. No excuse given by the employee on the call. She offered me a 10% discount and offered to call the recipient to apologize. Didn't apologize to me. I declined the feeble offer. I was put on hold twice when I requested to cancel the order and get a refund. Asked to speak with the manager and was told the manager wasn't in.... Read More

Ordered flowers today to be delivered to my mom on her 76th birthday. Received an email when I was at work that they had been delivered. Got home from work and called my mom and she had not received them. I called the customer service line and was put on hold for 15 minute, the service representative never returned and I was put into the review survey saying that my problem had been resolved. I called back and was on hold for another 25 minutes while the representative researched my order. When she came back I asked for a refund as I did not want to deliver flowers the day after my moms birthday. When I called to place my order I felt like I was in a call center. I was promised same day delivery and in the same town where their website says they are located (Milan, PA). At 7 pm that night they sent me an email telling me that there was an issue with my order. The next day when I called I was told that the delivery people were all out when I placed my order (11:00 AM) and that they weren't able to make the delivery. They wanted me to authorize them to deliver the following day. When I said no and that I wanted to cancel the order, I was placed on hold. It took me a total of 20 minutes to work through the refund process.

They promise same day delivery then the say the can't deliver for three days. Since it was ordered for same day they will not cancel an order even though they can't fulfill their commitment. Two hours on the phone and they still won't refund.

The flowers were just delivered for my friend's birthday. I have to say that for $160 this was the biggest rip off ever. The flowers are ho hum.... 1/3 of the size advertised.... chocolate was not delivered and they put in some little teddy bear? Seriously... these flowers would have cost $25 at Publix.... maybe that's where they got them. I was willing to spend quite a bit of money to make my friend's day. Instead this was a total yawn and I'm embarrassed this is what I "gave her" for her birthday. This is NOT what I ordered.... not what I paid for.... and not what was represented for sale. DO NOT order from this company. My order was not delivered because they said they couldn't find a florist in the area although they told me they could when I placed the order. Tried to contact me the day of to let me know the order was cancelled. There are MANY other flower companies to chose from!!

Spent $126.00 for a large floral arrangement to be delivered to a friend whose daughter had died. The arrangement that was delivered was quite small and dull, did not resemble the picture on the website, and the flowers were completely wilted within a few days. Embarrassing! I will never order from Ava's Flowers again.

Worst service ever. Substituted a bland non-blooming lily in a green plastic pot for the Bliss Garden I ordered which had 2 blooming hydrangea and and two lovely houseplants in a cute basket with a lovely ribbon. They also charge an $18.95 Service fee plus 9.99 delivery. Will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY111

I placed a floral order for delivery on 4/2 and paid much more than such items delivered in the past have cost. The website indicated that delivery would be 4/3-4/4 (Easter). The next day (10:52am), I received notification that I should call so my needs would be better served. I called and was told the delivery could not be made until 4/5 because the arrangement I ordered was unavailable. This information should have been shared prior to accepting my payment. No refund was offered, just an insignificant discount on a future order. Later (8:24pm on 4/3), I received an e-mail with a link to select an alternative floral arrangement. The link does not work.
