The DIY plan covers kitchen and laundry appliances, as well as interior plumbing systems and water heaters. The Premium plan adds coverage for electrical and heating and cooling systems. I'm a 30 years proud same home owner. I have made updates to the best of products avail each time. I don't want to do it again for 20 years mentality. So I signed up with Mike Holmes as I have been a fan of him for decades. So after getting the whole home plan now that I'm retired felt confident I had nothing to be concerned. Well that's not true any longer. My first claim was to have my AC looked at as it's taking longer to cool than it should causing higher electric bills but is cooling. The diagnosis is pin hole in my perfectly clean 6 yr old air handler coil. The estimated repair is $2500 and of course like every insurance horor story, they find a way not to pay to replace it. New to the Mike homes family and guess what. Biggest mistake ever you have the worst customer service ever. Fridge went down Friday 25th May . Made calls to you and it’s now Sunday night and still no schedule for you Scumbags to look at my Fridge. Nothing but run around with all your supervisors biggest scam and totally unacceptable in all facets. Don’t use this company they absolutely Suck .

When I started with the protection plan, I was told I needed to wait 30 days to claim. I was also told that because I bought a home the previous owners didn't keep up the HVAC maintenance, I wouldn't receive any help with replacing the air condition. We are both primarily living on SSDI payments.
