Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

To avoid the ole' song and dance, best to cut to the chase. Scam from the get go. In fact, do not even bother with ANY home warranty as they are all a scam. Better to save the $600-800 in your pocket and just deal with the issue when it arises. Not only do most home warranty companies have multiple loopholes to deny you coverage, but they also send out the most inexperienced tradesmen in the field. Add up the annual cost, the service call fee, the out of pocket expense should the bill go over the companies allowed allotment, like I said, better to not stress and simply go with the flow. I write lots of reviews and hardly ever have to be so harsh on companies. This issue went on for over 2 months though and I'm beyond disappointed. I called to make a claim that my Refrigerator unit was leaking. After they sent out a technician 4 days later with one of their companies they communicated that the lines just needed to be unclogged and cleaned. This did not work so we had to have the third party Refrigeration company come back out and evaluate that the whole fridge needed to be replaced. Then I waited over two weeks before ever hearing from SHW. I called and they said they were waiting on the Refrigeration company. So I called the Refrigeration company and they said they... Had an excellent experience with Sam Mason, who explained everything very clearly and thoroughly. He gave me a good price and helped me through the process. I ended up doing a 3 year contract for a very good yearly value and only a $45 service call fee! I've only just purchased the contract so I can't speak to the rest of the experience, but so far I am very pleased.

Don't bother purchasing this home warranty. They absolutely use every loop hole they can so they don't have to pay for any repairs. Read the fine print. My heat and air just broke and they want 3 years of services records and the unit has to have been serviced every 6 months. I service mine once a year. They have denied my claim. I wasted money buying this warranty. BUYER BE WARNED

Ray Sanders was the representative that helped me today. I had been shopping for home warranties and had spoke to several other companies, and to be honest was getting very frustrated. Ray listen to me and what I needed and he found a plan that fit my needs. He was patient, as my dog decided he wanted to be in on the conversation. He was a pleasure to talk to and did not try to fit me into a plan I did not need. As a result I have joined Select Home Warranty. Thank you Ray!!!
