Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I'm new to this company. I did my research and the consumer report had them listed as one of the top home warranty companies. This week, I called to file a claim that my refrigerator /freezer was not working properly and my seafood and meat were defrosting. The rep took my information and informed me that a vendor would calling me within 12 hours? WHAT!! I asked if she could expediate a call to the vendor and she said I had to wait. She told me she was responsible to taking claims and its nothing she could do; not even call the assigned vendor. In fact ; it appeared that she was alittle upset that I continued to ask questions. My grandparents living with me were complaining about the heat not working through the night. They were right after Select did a diagnostic test. They were able to find a bad pipe and replace it.

This company was horrible. Put in a claim for HVAC system. Completely disorganized, noone from the companies they provided called back. Had to use my own company and they said they would reimburse. That was another fiasco. There were 2 unrelated issues with the system, one was covered, the other was not. They said since the one item was not covered, no items were covered even though the issues were unrelated. This led to constant back and forth phone calling and getting supervisors involved. They finally reimbursed a small portion of the bill and I had to wait months for the reimb. and once again, many phone calls. Noone ever provides an answer except it takes 24-48 hours for a...
