Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I love how my home warranty handle emergency calls. When I called for emergency, it took a maximum of three rings before someone picks up the phone. The customer rep took my claim and had someone by my house after 3 hours. They know and understand the definition of emergency and took it seriously. This is how a home warranty should service their customers. Thank you Select Home Warranty. I had been recommending you to everyone I know.

When my husband and I moved into our home, we knew that the appliances and things were going to start breaking down soon. Fixing them was going to be expensive. I signed up with Select Home Warranty because of the affordable packages. Every claim that we have submitted went smoothly. When we called our claims in, their reps were very nice and helpful. Then they sent their people out fast to fix our existing problems.

I've had Select Home Warranty for seven months now and I really don't have any complaints. With SHW everything was covered and the price is affordable. I had submitted several claims and it has been easy. Their reps are very professional and attentive and I usually don't have any long wait times. So far, it has been good. They come out when they say they're going to come out. I'm satisfied with SHW and will be renewing my plan with them.

BUYER BEWARE. Frustrating company / process... 1) Sales department says whatever it takes to get you to commit. I second comments made by others on here (e.g., Michael B. from Atlanta, GA on 9/17/2018: The sales person lies to you during the sale - they will tell you you won't need any paperwork and to ignore the wording in the terms, but when you goto make a claim it will bite you.)... This is EXACTLY my experience. I wonder if the sales leadership trains this. LESSON LEARNED: DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU REVIEW THE CONTRACT WORD-FOR-WORD. 2) That being said, the deals they are willing to cut are good... pricing is solid if you're willing to walk away several times. Eric H. was my contact and did a good job explaining the coverage with the limited time and other distraction I had at the time. Received the contract on E-mail and enlarged it as much as was able but still difficulty reading it with magnifying glass.

The price is good for the items "covered" by the warranty terms, but there are so many conditions that have to be met. The sales person lies to you during the sale - they will tell you you won't need any paperwork and to ignore the wording in the terms, but when you goto make a claim it will bite you. Rather than approve your claim, you will be forced to argue for over 2 hours to against every attempt at not approving the claim for some random wording. Luckily English is not the strong point of the rep you will be arguing against and you can get your claim approved, but hold your breath for service and/or reimbursement.
