Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Everything about my experience with SHW since I signed up 3 months ago is great. I first used them or their service a month ago and the experience is something that is worth bragging about that is why I wrote this review. I called them about my furnace. I got a very fine representative and she was very informative the whole time I am speaking to her. The person she sent in my house also was a very fun man which made his service visit really fun and educational. He educated me of the parts and functions and possible reasons why it quit working. The experience is just amazing.

I couldn’t be happier as my claim that I submitted online was resolved in just a couple of days. Had problems with my dishwasher as its producing popping sounds. I entered and completed an online claim form and received a call from SHW the same hour. Carmen called me to verify the claim and ask me for the most convenient time for me to have someone check the washer. Thank you Select for your swiftness.

Missed appointments, cancelled service visit request, contractors sent without any idea of the claim that was filed are just some of the horrible experiences I had with my previous warranty company. When I signed up with SELECT, I already has that notion that technicians from warranty companies are not that reliable. So when I submitted a claim a month ago about my HVAC, I was surprised with the immediate feedback/call that the service technician did. He called in to confirm the claim and the date when I want him to be on site. It only took 2 days for my claim to be resolved and now ever since that service, my HVAC works pretty well. That tech service is truly outstanding.

I easily gets pissed whenever I call a hotline and the person who picks up the phone do nothing but read a script and won't even listen to what I am saying. In my 2 years with Select, I can say that I never get pissed with any of my claim call. All of the reps I spoke with gave me so much respect. They listen very carefully, they let me talk and they give resolution based from what they heard from me. And with that being said, I would like to commend Select for the type of training they give their customer service reps.

Emergency situations that requires expensive repairs made me signed up with Select. My wife just gave birth to our 3rd child and while my family is getting bigger,and so our bills and expenses. Paying expensive repairs for our home systems is something that I don't want my wife to worry about. Good thing Select has plans that covers most of my systems at home. We just signed up with them 4 mos ago and I really hope that I won't use them anytime soon but if I will, I know Select got me and my family covered.

I started with Select Home Warranty a year ago and my contract expires next month. it seems that I will be renewing my policy tho as I have had good experiences with them. I live in AR and my house is not that easy to find. I am happy that in the past year, Select has proved themselves that they can accommodate and resolved my issues real-time. The technicians /contractors I have worked with from Select never missed any appointments and they were always on time. Impressive aren't they? So renewing my policy with them is something that I look forward to.

I am giving SHW a 2 because you will find the people you talk to curtious and helpful. But when you need to use the warranty service you will find the experience a little different. The problem is not with the customer service reps but with SHW business as a whole. I know that sounds confusing so let me give you a brief example. My AC went out this year and that is a concern because my husband has a heart condition. So I called SHW and was given connected to a contractor. Then the problem starts. The contractor informed us that he no longer works with SHW. By the way this was the 3rd time this had happened to us. So we called back informed the Customer service rep of the problem... They dont seem very organized at all. Forgot dates and payments. They also dont respond very fast.
