Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I had a great experience when calling to submit my claim. Technician was out the same day. A part needs to be ordered. I’m just hoping the completion of the repair goes as well as my initial experience

Could be the worst company on the planet at least in my opinion. Called and made a claim for one of my 4 HVAC units and was told I could use my own contractor( their in the past were horrible). My people came the same day and said they could get my upstairs 3 bedrooms, 3 baths a sitting room and an office up and running for $300. How as we live on the Ga. coast the salt air had actually wrecked the outside component and their repair was was at best temporary. To replace a freon cooled system and the supporting components the cost would be $6700. I check Trane's web site and their estimate was totally consistent with their price. SAVE YOUR MONEY, LOOK ELSEWHERE. I submitted a claim for A/C service, and I am still without AC after 2 weeks, and calling them almost daily. They keep forwarding your claim to different departments. At the end I got an email saying your claim is closed and no resolution. Also for any claims you submit they make you pay for the labor costs which is extremely expensive. Avoid this company at all costs.

Save your money and look elsewhere. I submitted a claim approximately 2 weeks ag. Select sent someone out to repair my air conditioning and they replaced the Wrong part and my ac still is not working. I have been on the phone with them 5 or 6 times since then. They told me they to get it approved to send someone out. I asked them why since it repair or replace and they explained that they only pay $150 to fix it after that it is up to me. Since then our tenant has moved to her sons house and we are sweating it out in 100 degree weather. I'm about to call them back because their manager has not called me back, which I knew he wouldn't, and try and get my air fixed.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, LOOK ELSEWHERE, I SUBMITTED A CLAIM ON MY PLUMBING SYSTEM, NO HOT WATER IN BATHROOM, THEY TOLD ME THEY DONT COVER FIXTURES???????IVE BEEN ARGUEING WITH THEM FOR 4 DAYS, STILL NO RESOLUTION, THIS COMPANY IS RATED NUMBER ONE???? BY WHO THE MARX BROTHERS? STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, THEY BRING NOTHING BUT HEART ACHES, AND SCAMMER TACTICS!!

In January 2020, we purchased a new home. After numerous hours of internet research, I decided to contact Select Home Warranty (SHW). I had several questions regarding the policy that the SHW website did not cover. So, I contacted SHW by telephone. My concerns were regarding depreciation on items covered, i.e., washer, dryer, air conditioning unit, refrigerator, etc. My recollection of the phone conversation with the salesman was, “Don’t worry, SHW will pay to have your item fixed and running again.” Note, he didn’t say replace at cost equivalent to the broken item, just fixed so it would be 100% operable without issues. I purchased a home warranty from Select Home Warranty for 3 1/2 years. After 3-4 months my Heat pump went out. They sent out a company that not only misdiagnosed the issue but had no clue what they were looking at. They denied the claim stating it was a Freon leak that caused the issue. I disagreed with them and they said I could get my own technician out at my expense which I did. He confirmed the 1st company had no idea what they were doing and stated the motor had shorted out. We purchased a 3 yr contract and PAID IN FULL! our 1st claim was w/ our a/c and had to keep calling to see when someone would show up. (Had no a/c for almost 2 weeks in 100 degree f weather!) It was repaired...finally! Had 2 more issues. 1 with our stove top (Select wont repair even though we can only use 1 burner) & a small leak in our bedroom ceiling. Repair company showed up but Select said we had to pay for the repair company to damage our ceiling so they could have access to the problem and then pay to have it repaired. What!? We've had other home warranty companies in the past at our prior home and NEVER had any delays or problems!

As a first time customer, I wasn’t sure what to expect. My garage door stopped working so, I placed a call late night to file a claim and the customer service representative answered immediately. He was polite and patient. He explained the next steps after I gave some information regarding the issue. Back to where I mentioned I didn’t know what to expect, I was very satisfied with how seamless the claim process was. After this positive experience, I’m confident I made the right decision in choosing Select Home.
