Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I was so frustrated after finding out that my fridge isn’t holding the right temperature. This is why my kids get sick most often because they are drinking the spoiled milk. I immediately called Select Home. The claim was filed quickly and the representative made sure to send someone as soon as possible. The tech came out and finally the temperature is back on. I appreciate the prompt response and workmanship with my issues mentioned above. I’m happy and satisfied with Select Home.

I purchased my Platinum Care plan with Select 5 years ago. I am glad that I did not encounter any major issues with them. Though there were quite few confusion in the beginning but they manage to clarify that. Over the years Select Home continue to grow and get better. I recently filed a claim for my garage door and it was handled well. I would suggest every homeowner to try Select Home Warranty. Worth your money!

I was crying yesterday because I cannot get a plumber out to fix a broken pipe in my basement. It had flooded the basement and everything was soaking wet. I remembered I have a plan with Select Home Warranty and so called them up. The lady who handled my concern was so nice and understood my predicament. She said she will expedite the work order and will make sure she gets someone to fix my pipe. She had been very patient with me. True to her words, a technician came after 4 hours and had the pipe fixed. They are the most reliable company I have ever had.

I had been with the biggest home warranty in the industry for five years. And it seems that they were so busy with so many work orders that work orders have been piling up. I filed for my fridge and it took them 2 weeks to get someone to come to my house. It is becoming inconvenient for me so I had to change my home warranty company. I signed up with Select Home Warranty and had proven that I am correct. Though Select is new, they are wanting to compete and they do it by providing prompt and reliable service.

I wonder why people would always put bad reviews when they are not satisfied with something but when good things happen, seldom do we hear or read about it. Well, I want to make a difference. I want to let everyone know how happy and satisfied I am with my current home warranty. They are prompt and reliable no matter what time and day of the year. They have the best repairmen in their sleeves. And I want to thank them for an excellent job with my HVAC system. Thank you SHW.

My experience with them has been generally good and pleasant. I had not had one single bad experience with Select Home Warranty. I think and believe that having Select Home Warranty for my home and rental properties is the smartest thing I have ever done. No longer should I be wasting my time looking for a repairman, plumber or an electrician. They do the hard part and I just have to wait for a day to have the service.

I am so satisfied with my choice of home warranty company. Throughout the years, I had filed numerous claims. From my roof, to my plumbing system, pool and appliances. They had been consistently terrific and wonderful. I have not had a complain on the works of the repairmen. All works had been done fabulously. Could you just imagine how much savings I was able to save from repairs. Thanks to my reliable home warranty, Select Home Warranty.

Used this company for 6 months, both claims were denied. Sold the house and was told I would receive a refund for the unused 18 months- which amounted to just under half of what I paid! I was promised a refund on 3/5/18- it is April 30th and after numerous calls and being told my check was mailed, I am still waiting. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! If you believe the ratings for them, or any of these companies on this site, then I have a bridge for sale.

This was by far the WORST policy I have ever purchased! I paid for 3 years coverage in advance, big mistake. After about 3 months of coverage our water heater tank leaked all over the garage and I had my wife call for a service call but there plumber could not get there for 2 days. We were told we could contact another plumber but they would have to contact Select when they arrived which they did. They explained that the heater could not be repaired and put a new one in, We submitted the claim as we were told along with a letter from the Master plumber stating what he had told Select. The bottom line is that after hours upon hours of phone calls and letters we were offered $150 on a $990... Read More

This has by far been the worst Home Warranty Company ever. They pride themselves in finding ways of not paying a claim. They do not have enough contractors to maintain coverage of their cliental. They inform you that you can call out a local contractor to evaluate the problem then refuse to pay the cost of the service call. They should be rated an F for the Poorest Service ever. They informed me I could contact my own technician because they did not have one on their list in my area to call, the technician came out fixed the problem in seconds, and now they are refusing to reimburse me because it's more than what they normally pay for a service call.
