Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

They sent an unlicensed plumber to our house that dropped the top of the toilet and then ran out and then home warranty did nothing to fix the issue

It is strange to us but how so much sand got in our plumbing is beyond us. SHW filed a request that needed approval and did approve infact the repairs which was a big sigh of relief.

Not so sure anymore how I used to not own a warranty product before. this warranty saved me on a faulty dishwasher and a faulty obsolete microwave. The replacement costs were covered by my platinum package and I had experience that outshined what I was expecting

They covered the sump pump repairs and were very quick about it. The claim was created through the online guest services application and the technician provided outstanding service. The manner that they set up the whole process was uniform and planned out particularly well-excellent.

We trust this company. We had a central vaccuum problem in the home and we called up for approval. We requested a manager call back because we wanted quicker service. Roger called and spoke to me. I told him I had an important party event in my house and he did a great job managing to find a company in a 10 mile range willing to come in 24 hours. Very very speedy!

My central heat and air unit died and I had to wait for authorization to get ir repaired for 3 days. I did get the approval and the work order was created and scheduled. The scheduled appointment went great and I am pleased with the results.

Zero stars! I have worked with 3 warranty companies so far - all have the lowest grade vendors on their lists. Select is by far the worst! I placed a claim Nov 11th 2017 - finally got a vendor out Dec 2, 2017, I called Select at the end of Dec asking when I could expect the repairs. Then the dance began - it was authorized - they apologized for not letting me know - their vendor disappeared - he would not return my calls. Select claimed to have talked to him & he would be out/or in touch soon. Over and over again I got BS from Select - eventually they admitted they couldn't get ahold of the vendor - so - new vendor? No - they couldn't find another vendor - I live in Leesburg, VA -... Read More

Before I used SHW I had a major central AC problem and had to pay out the nose. The Select platinum plan has come through on other repairs on the house and I am more than satisfied with how they handle things and only am sorry I did not have it sooner.

I own a summer retreat property in New Jersey and I let them cover it for the tenants that live most of the year over there. My claims for pipe clogs and other various jobs have been handled to my satisfaction.

With every passing claim I have to give them more and more credit. They have built up a good trust with me. I made my first claim way back in 2013 and it went very well even though I do not remember the details anymore other that it was my stove. Still to this date everything has been great thanks.
