Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I wanted to get a broken lighting fixtures of my drawing room changed to a French design that I had purchased. The team agreed to get it done at an hourly electrician fee of $60. The work was done very professionally by the electrician in less than 2 hours. Thanks for the support provided.

The built in microwave was making more sound than it usually does. I called up the claims department and they agreed to send the electrical expert. Luckily for me, the magnetron failed as the expert switched on the microwave and tried to run a heating cycle. He had to recommend the magnetron change and that too free of cost. I had to pay only the technical expert fee of $45 and saved almost $150. Some element of luck and the balance credit to Select.

My home warranty is now 1.5 years old and due for renewal. I had a six month contract followed by an annual contract. The performance of the select home warranty has been very good. I intend to go for a 3 year contract now.

I used to be preoccupied with thoughts about the equipment breakdowns at home. My colleagues and friends at work cajoled me to spill the beans. The lawn sprinkler system is used almost daily to water the garden outside the house. When it broke down in the evening, I had no choice but to call the claims department first thing in the morning. They sent the plumber and he did a good job. My lawn sprinkler is now working fine and I am happy that my plants will not go without water in the evening today.

As it is I don't like doing the dishes and when the dishwasher breakdowns, it becomes a Herculean task for me. Thanks to Select who understood my plight and sent a quick and experienced technician for the repair. He restored the dishwasher back in working condition within half an hour and left.

We have the Platinum Plan with Select Home Warranty. Water heater broke. Waited 3 days for a technician. Technician was told NOT COVERED. I called Select to complain as WATER HEATER is clearly stated as covered on my policy. Was told by the brainless rep who answered the phone "It's not covered because it's leaking". Of course it's leaking. I wouldn't call for service if it was working properly. Sorry, we only covered the water heater before it starts leaking. REALLY? I asked for a supervisor, got the same story. I asked for a manager. All managers are busy, they will call you back. Still waiting. I asked, "have anyone ever called and said that their water heater was working perfectly... Read More

Do not use Select Home Warranty! I had just bought my home when the AC went out. Now for a lot of Americans this isn't ideal but for those of us living in Arizona in the middle of summer knows you can't go long without AC. I called set an appointment and had to wait 2 days. The day before the appointment I get another email for a different service provider with no explination. I was at work when the email came in and I couldn't call until after hours. I didn't get a cancellation notice from either the repair place or Select Home Warranty. I was browsing on the internet when the advertisement for this home warranty popped up. They were offering a 15% discount if I ordered so good deal. I was already on the lookout for a good home service contract and I got a good bargain.
