Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I still remember the smart sales person who sold me the platinum home warranty describing its plus points. At that time I was in two minds whether to go in for it or skip it altogether. He convinced me for the platinum plan and I am glad that I took it. Today, after 2 years and with more than 5 breakdowns in a variety of equipment, I have got peace of mind as the repair and replacement work has been done meticulously.

I was getting some strange sounds coming from the ducting when the air conditioning was running. A particular section of the house seemed to have a lot of vibrations too. When I lodged a claim the first technician just brushed it off as a hunch. Not satisfied with his answer I asked for a ducting expert from the Select. This guy was quick to point out a failure in the vibration damping spring hanger. Once replaced the ducting became quieter. I got the false ceiling redone through them too. Good learning experience for me.

I was quite perturbed when my garage door was not opening and my sedan was stuck inside. I picked up a hot conversation with the claims department. Despite my odd approach the claim department sent the technician and got my door repaired in the next two hours. I called them up again and said sorry and thank you.

The refrigerator freezer was behaving like it was an extension box of the refrigerator. We tried in vain to get the freezing operation to work but it was simply not happening. I called the claims department and registered my claim. The technician was there at noon time. We were surprised to see the freezer working within the next 30 minutes. Hats off to Select Platinum.

I must appreciate Clara Montana who is a customer support specialist at Select Home Warranty. She was instrumental in resolving the conflict between two contractors and finding an amicable solution. As a customer we got the desired service and well in time. In fact, both the claims ran parallel and effectively.

Though I do not support automated systems, I appreciated the quick response from Select. The technician who serviced the sump pump knew the job very well. He ran his own developed diagnostic and fixed the fault in 15 minutes. Wonderful!

The leaking kitchen faucet was making life miserable for me. I had lodged the complaint with selecy home warranty. It took them three days to locate the part and make it available for the repairs. I was a happy when the plumber finally arrived and completed the job.

I am living in a rented apartment and I made sure that I purchase a home warranty the day I shifted there. The first breakdown that happened was that of the dish washer. The technician arrived the very next day and made a thorough investigation. He declared that the dishwasher was past its prime. On his recommendation we received a check. We like the customer centric approach of the company.

All the services provided by select are excellent. The only disappointment was when they showed my account as past due. I had never missed a payment or got late in making the payment. The company corrected the flaw as soon as I wrote to them. Because of the wrong reflection I have rated them 4.5-star.
