I've made 3 claims in the past year and they kept there word and paid.
platinum care package - purchase 5 yr plan, my fridge went kaput-motor died, all my food spoiled. i called up and spoke jeff, he helped me and it took 2 days to get someone to come and fix the part and another day to order the part. i wish it woulda been faster but everything was professional and now good.
Claim processing was quick. The contractor who repaired the washing machine was licensed and had many years experience. He was polite, friendly and explained everything that he was doing. The customer service representatives at Select Home Warranty were equally as friendly, polite and answered all questions.
A+ service. I filed 3 claims this year and everything was handled perfect. Amazing service.
I purchased the Platinum Care plan due to all of the coverage listed. I was told the plan would take effect in 30 days. I filed my first claim on day 34. It was denied as I had paid with a credit card, and while a plan normally takes effect in 30 days, if you pay with a credit or debit card the waiting period is 35 days. I filed my 2nd claim when my pool pump would not start, and was advised Select has no pool techs in my area (so why sell this coverage?). I was told I could find my own repair person, have them come diagnose the issue and then call Select to see if it was covered, and how much they would pay. Good customer service. My claim was processed very fast. All repairs are done.
The technician hired to repair the plumbing issues in the master bathroom was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He explained the issue and made the repairs for me right away. I was very happy with the technicians hired by SHW.
My pool claim went over very smoothly. Select provided the contractor with all the approval information in order to replace the pool pump. The service was pretty quick and as soon as the new pool pump came in the contractor came back to make the repairs/installation.
I own several properties in Texas. I filed a total of 12 claims for all 6 of my properties combined. Each one of my claims issues were handled professionally. Claims review personnel carefully reviewed all my claims and responded in a timely manner. All contractors were experienced and well informed of the issues before coming out to each property. I have no complaints with how my claims were handled.
