Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I spoke with a representative who was very knowledgeable about the varying levels of service and went over each policy option with me in detail. He was very patient and answered all my questions until we could choose the right policy that fit my exact needs.

My first call was to find out the information I felt I needed to make a decision to switch our home warranty plan to a new company after being with that initial company for over 15 years. Richard was very helpful in explaining the coverage, premium plans and discounts available. His offering to send me the contract papers with a preliminary decision to sign up with Select, noting I would have 30 days to make a final decision or receive my first year premium back in full was what prompted me to make the choice to select Select. I am only at the beginning of getting a claim covered. My outside ac unit quit working on a weekend. Since it's 90 here, I asked the rep to expedite my claim. I called Monday and was informed they couldn't locate a contractor in my area and I could hire one and get reimbursed if the claim was covered . The contractor I hired came the same day to diagnose and spoke with claims rep. The claims rep has forwarded to their approval dept and I will have an update by tomorrow morning. I'm very appreciative that I didn't have to wait for a contractor with no ac. So far 5 stars for the representatives helpfulness and courtesy.
