Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

STAY AWAY!! PAY MORE & GET BETTER SERVICE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!! Select Home Warranty's customer service is a joke, they are rude and just horrible!! I got this warranty with Select Home Warranty in July 2016. They promised me the moon and stars if I changed from Choice Home Warranty to them. My toilet and tub was backed up on a Friday. I called them and stated it is an emergency I need a tech out here ASAP as in today. I was told it's Friday after hours we can't get a tech out there. You will have to wait til Monday. I said that's not an option we can't use the toilets or the tubs. So the rep said I can hire my own tech and submit receipt for reimbursement. I did that and received an... Read More

I filed a claim for my a/c. A repair technician arrived at my home within 24 hours of making my claim. The technician fixed the a/c. I am very happy.

I am so happy I ended up choosing Select Home Warranty. I had a choice between 2 other companies and am so happy I made the right decision. My claim was processed quickly and repaired right away. I was with a working stove within 24 hours of filing my claim. Thank you!

I purchased the Platinum Care policy from Select as I was assured that everything was covered and my salesman told me that most repairs happen the same day or next. After 11 months without a claim my oven broke and I placed my first claim. Select informed me that it would be three weeks to get a repairman out and advised me to hire my own. They instructed me (and repairman) to make the diagnosis and then call in with the diagnosis and they would immediately provide the authorization number. I was on hold for 28 minutes with the repairman just standing in my kitchen, finally got the authorization to get stove repaired. Excellent customer service. My dishwasher was repaired a day after I filed my claim. The contractor who was hired by Select Home Warranty was on time and made sure that all repairs were made.

I filed a claim for my leaking sink in the bathroom. SHW sent a plumber to my home who was extremely professional. He was able to fix my leak and everything is working perfectly.

Purchase warranty in December, had an issue with appliance and called and email Select Home warranty for almost 7 weeks. Appliance still has not been repaired. Poor customer service, no follow up. Standard reply to emails with no resolution. No repair person, no apology, Nothing!!Very sorry I purchased with Select. Never Again!!
