Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The companies that SHW dispatched were awesome. My most recent claim has been for an issue with my furnace. The company that they sent out is still trying to fix some issue, as it was more than just the igniter part.

DO NOT USE THEM! I signed up in November after we bought our house. I was told there were plenty of service providers in my area. Now I have been trying to get my dishwasher serviced since Mid-March, I had to play phone tag to even see if what I wanted checked (dishwasher was not washing dishes on the bottom rack and was making a loud noise when drying and dishs were not drying) was covered. When I got through they told me "we don't' cover noises". I asked what about the dishes not getting cleaned?! They replied "that's not what you told us". So fast forward another two weeks and I receive a call saying there were no service people in my area and they would email me information to secure... Read More

Submitting a claim with Select Home Warranty was straightforward and the reps were good. Everything we've had, they've been able to fix. They've been great and whenever people mention it, I always recommend them.

I was pleasantly surprised to get help so promptly. HVAC contractors get very busy when the seasons change! The young man who came to us was neat, uniformed, professional, polite and friendly. He had the problem fixed in less than an hour.

I made a claim with SHW for my dishwasher and ice maker on the fridge. The technicians that came were very knowledgeable, professional and got the job done. They worked in a timely manner, very clean, and organized. Since the repairs, everything's working superbly.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Service is terrible! Disorganized, Incompetent and deceptive practices as compared to their sales pitch! Took over 30+ calls, hours on hold, 3 claims mngrs and over 2 weeks to get a simple 2HP replacement motor for my pool. Off the shelf item and then they will only pay a partial amount. Took 3 separate contractors to find one that would even work with Select and I still had to pay $ 100 to get the pump fixed! I have used home warranties for 30 years with numerous companies and SELECT is definitely the absolute worse company I have ever had to deal with in the warranty service industry! Will not renew with this bunch!

I made several claims with Select Home Warranty and they only reimbursed me small amounts of money. I ended up paying a lot of money out of pocket for the cost of repairs. When I tried to cancel, they said I would have to pay all of the money back for each claim. Apparently, this is stated in their policy, so please be careful when you pay the discounted price for three years because you WILL BE DISSATISFIED! I am only writing this in hopes that no one makes the same mistake I made !

We just recently had a A/C claim and it was deny due to "poor maintenance". When asking how this was poor maintenance we didn't receive any answers. I am a very clean person - we take care of our belongings. When calling to discuss the claim, the SUPERVISOR "NELSON" of the claims department hung up on my husband. Very unprofessional. I work in insurance and have a family owned company and I refer customers all the time to home warranties. I will NOT be using this company. I will be writing a letter to the corporate office.

I called Select Home Warranty because the dishwasher was leaking and it was an emergency. They got somebody out here within two hours. The repairmen who came out were polite, did the job and cleaned up after themselves. They were quick about it and we've had no problems since the repair.
