Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This is the most God awful place I ever done business with, They took payment from my bank account for 4 months. When I needed my stove repaired, I paid the contractor the 60.00 required for the service call. Contractor said stove needs to be replaced. The company, instead of replacing my stove, said because it is 10 yrs or older we will not replace. They offered me 100.00 towards a new stove. They were argumentative & rude. I was transferred to retention. Because I chose to cancel my policy, they recended the 100.00 towards purchase and there was a 75.00 cancellation fee. I recently filed a claim with Select Home Warranty for some pool repairs. The SHW reps were professional and helpful. The contractor that was sent was also professional and he did a very good work. I'd recommend them.

I was very pleased with the fast response to our service request and the technician was right on time. He diagnosed and repaired the problem very quickly. I really appreciate being able to submit service requests online without having to navigate through a call center system.

I submitted a claim online with Select Home Warranty for the refrigerator. Their website is easy to access and to understand. The repair person who came out was very friendly. I would recommend them to a friend.

Read the fine print: They say they put a cap on ac repair but they put a cap on everything!!!! Will offer you at best $100 to pay for the repair. They will take your money while they write "got another sucker" on your contract at their office before you can blink. Don't do it! Don't even call these people. They lie, lie, lie. Now that I have put several bad reviews there will be 2 or 3 good ones trying to make them look good. But they're not. Don't believe the 4 or 5 star reviews. They're bull!!!! Buyer beware!!!!! Been without a refrigerator for a week. Talked to a supervisor of claims and now it went from no techs in our area because we live in a rural one to they are booked 3 weeks out. Asked for the company they have under contract would not give it out. Then they say they may jave one. I am done with them. Time to get ahold of the attorney generals office.

Select Home Warranty, is quite literally a scam. Their represenatives "claim" that they cover any number of items, but the devil is in the details! They have made provisions in their contract so that they may only cover part, ( if your lucky ), or what they appraise the COVERED repair should be. Example: One HVAC, company was to be dispatched to my home to work my unit. They had worked on it before. I called the company to find out when they could arrive and their response was, " we don't do anything for Select Home Warranty. We sent them a bill for a repair that was to be covered by their company and they paid only part of it". The same is true on a claim that I called in for my garage... Read More

We filed a claim with Select Home Warranty for the air conditioner a couple of months back and it's been working fine ever since. The technician that came was a pretty good guy, and I had them come out again a week ago to give me an estimate on some more work that needed to be done that's not covered.

So far, I've had a good experience with Select Home Warranty and everyone there was great. I've had to put in two small claims and they were both resolved promptly and I was satisfied with the results.
