Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This Company is a complete rip off. My A/C unit was not blowing cold air so I called my warranty company" the so called top ten rated best warranty company". They sent a technician out and he stated I would need a new compressor. I called select back and the representative stated that my unit was not covered under warranty. They basically told me that there was nothing that they could do,but I was a valued customer and they wanted to keep my service. .

I bought the house in June and signed up with Select Home Warranty. We had a claim for our pool and submitted the claim online. The claims process was easy and their website was user-friendly, and then I got responses about it immediately. I've already recommended Select Home Warranty to friends.

I filed a claim for a defective heat pump compressor. It took 4 days for them to assign a claim number. Then it took 3 more days for repair technician to perform on-site visit. It took 3 more days for them to call me asking for maintenance records which I FAX'ed to the number they gave me. It then took over another week before the repair technician was able to contact them as they didn't contact him. The repair technician then was told the most they would pay was $200 on a $900 repair because I did not submit maintenance records which I DID, and also because I did not submit photos which they never asked for. AVOID the people at all costs!!!

This company is horrible. The customer service reps are rude and they refused to cover my very first claim related to my HVAC system leaking. Apparently a lead in an HVAC system is not covered, really? I demanded a refund and they refused, saying they will only give a prorated portion of my money back even though I only had the coverage for 2 months and they didn't cover my first issue. STAY AWAY. Go with a different company.

I filed a claim for my a/c that was not working this past summer. A contractor was sent to my house who was very professional and courteous. He repaired my a/c after replacing a small part and everything worked very well since then. I have always been happy with how Select handled my claims.

This has been the worst company ever.. I would not recommend it to anybody.. After they approved my claim to come fix my garage door and sending the company, I was not happy with the company they sent me.. I called them and asked them to send me someone else, they refused and asked me to give this garage company a chance, which I agreed.. They stood us up and I called select and told them what was going on and they could never help me, after asking to speak to manager they gave me the run around and never got a call back from manager.. My stove was not heating up the food. Select Home Warranty sent a contractor to my house to make repairs. The contractor got the replacement part approved by Select and it was installed as soon as it came in. The stove now works as new. I am satisfied with my policy.

I submitted a plumbing claim on the SHW website. A plumber called me to schedule an appointment. The plumber was on time professional and courteous. He fixed my problem on the same visit. I could not be more pleased with my warranty.

This has got to be the worst home warranty company around. They take your money up front and give you a great price and then when something breaks they postpone until you agree 1/4 of the price of your product. My washer broke in December. This is Feb 20 and I just received a check for 150.00 after over 2 months of calling, begging, being on hold, talking to non-english speakers that I felt at times lied to me about the check being in the mail. They offer you an amount and you accept then they have to send you a claim form which they forget to do so you have to call again. They are not like name brand companies that replace your product. i had this warranty since 2015, i called because my dryer needed service, they said i would get a email of the technician and phone number, never an email until i called back,it took almost three weeks before a technician can to my house, the worst tech every, i never got the dryer fix, i do not know who's the worst the select home warranty or the technician,do not give your money away save your money and be your own warranty for your appliance, they in it to take your money.
