Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

***BIG SCAM*** Your money is in grave danger with this company. They're running a massive scam that preys on unsuspecting customers. When your product breaks, their promises of repair are empty lies. And if you're expecting a replacement, think again – they'll lowball your item's value, offering a pittance for a costly item. Don't let their deceitful practices cost you. Steer clear and safeguard your hard-earned money.

This company is a complete scam. The do not cover anything and they want the client to diagnose the problem before they will send a technician out. Not to mention that you have to wait on the phone over 45 minutes to even speak to someone about a claim. When I cancelled my contract they charged me a $75 cancellation fee for a service that I had already paid for in full up front. Please avoid this company!!!! They will totally rip you off.

I have had this for years first time l have a problem they tell me my policy doesn't cover my plumbing problem. I called 5 times only ro get the round around. It is a complete scam.

Select Home Warranty is a fraud. They take your money and won't honor the contract I paid over $1000 for. I had been trying to get my AC/Heating unit repaired since January 2023. Thank God it was not the only unit we have. Luckily for us we have another unit or otherwise we would frozen in the winter and burnt up this summer. I wrote to the BBB and complained about them and they cancelled my contract. They sent me a check for $1.29. As I said earlier I paid over $1000 for this contract to cver 3 years. Select is fraudulent. After requesting a refund repeatedly and getting nothing, I have decided to file a lawsuit. I made multiple requests to see the policy - months have gone by without seeing the policy or getting the refund. Select has violated the verbal agreement and their own policies. Rude and aggressive customer service who do not care what the customer needs or wants.

Had AC go out in 118 degree weather. Called right away and they assigned a vendor the next day. I tried contacting this vendor several times with no response. Called Select and they said they contacted the vendor and they're not going to be able to come out until Tuesday, which is 4 days. (A response from the vendor would have been nice) Advised them it is unacceptable with this heat as I have two kids. Asked to speak with a supervisor to get an approval to hire my own vendor. Was told that I was going to get a call back. Didn't get a call back until 4 days later. Worst customer experience of my life. They have 24/7 support, but all customer support people read from a script and do not deviate regardless of what your issue is. Also, if you do have a problem that the the customer support person can't help with or that you're not satisfied with, good luck talking to a supervisor. I was promised multiple times that a supervisor would call me, but one never did. My biggest frustration was for a dishwasher repair. My assigned technician went missing after I had already paid him a down payment, and all Select Home could do was call the same number that had been disconnected and also not receive an answer. I called Select Home Warranty with a plumbing issue - a sewage drip into my basement from the upstairs bathroom. They said to allow 48 hours. After 3 days, I called back and they said it wasn't logged correctly, so they took my information again and said I had to wait the 48 hours again. After another 2 days, I hadn't received a notice of a contractor and called again. This time I was told they had no contractors because they were all backed up and if I could find one to go ahead and book them but they needed to call from the house with the estimate in order to get authorization.
