Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I changed to this warranty from AHS. When the salesman sold me all things were covered. It was cheaper with $45 deductible. After 2 months of having this policy, I filed a claim for one of my AC units. They dispatched a contractor who worked in Gainsville And he was providing service in Atlanta. The contractor did not show up for his appointment. I got my unit checked by Cool Air Mechanical. The evaporate coil had leak and part was covered through original warranty. I asked for approval for installing the part. I was told labor is not covered. So if you are getting this warranty make sure what you are getting. Run, do not walk away from this company as fast as possible. In the course of having them as our warranty company for a little over a year, Select employees lied to us about coverages. Coverage was below expectations if at all. Of the two claims we made, one was a fraction of the payout it should have been and the other was denied outright when it was something that should have been covered. Snake oil sales people and sleazy used car salesmen look good by comparison to Select Warranty. Unless your into being disappointed every time you contact them, which no one is, stay away from this company.

BUYER BE WARE! They advertised to me that certain things would be covered that were ultimately not. They also, after failing to hire a plumber for me, that I could secure my own plumber for reimbursement. Their email states I will be reimbursed and has no financial limitations. I paid nearly $500 out of pocket to be reimbursed only $109 due to my overall policy limitations. Within the policy, however it never outlines financial caps for reimbursement. These guys are crooks. I have to give a minimum of a 1/2 star, the other 1/2 star is because they have very nice and helpful phone manners, but they're policy is crap.

Extremely poor service called for service on Dishwasher they found 1 contractor that came by collected service never came back to complete job then they couldn't find another contractor so finally I found contractor that came out 2 weeks later gave estimate of $559 the select warranty said they only cover $150 because there is a fine print in contract that if the problem happened sin 90 days of purchase of contract which when they sell they never mention only that everything is covered after 30 day of purchase. Very deceiving no one reads fine print specially when you are told after 30 days you are covered.

Please do not purchase a warranty from Select if you value your time or money. This company has no respect for its customers or their needs. My husband I purchased a policy in April and file our first claim in August. Our claim was an HVAC clai during the week where temps were a whopping 100 degrees for a few days. My husband called and filed a claim, however after no response, I went online and filed another claim.The claim my husband files initially was never reported. I filed a claim around 1PM and did not receive a call until after 5PM to collect additional information. I never heard from Select again. No email with tech information, NOTHING. Terrible company! I bought a 2 year warranty with them and called 3 times. Once for the dishwasher, which they did not fix but the contractor told us where to buy the part to do it ourselves. Second time for the roof. They said not covered! Which I bought the one that said roof is covered. Third time was the AC which was leaking, They said sorry we do not cover leaks, only total system breakdown. Eight months in I called to cancel.. which they did immediately with some attitude, according to the email I received. This is the worst warranty company ever. They not only screw their customers, but they also screw their contractors. They find every way possible to not pay claims. They cant even get contractors to accept the jobs because of their practices. Every principal owner of this company should be publicly hung by the neck until dead.

They are terrible if you need home warranty read their contract fine prints. for first three months their coverage is almost negligible even after that they have caps like $500 mass for appliances and $2000 max for heating cooling. I had the warranty but after reading contract I cancelled it. Salmon lied to me that there are no caps. for month and twelve days they deducted $182 s prorated charge, when I requested the details no replies.

Watch the terms. Your coverage does not start till 30 after your payment. This was buried in the contract fine print which you don't get till after you have paid.

Read their Terms and Conditions!!!! They don't cover a lot of things. Would not have covered my heating system and when asked if appliances would be replaced if not repairable was told yes, not ture - they only give a small amount for replacements.
