Overall Rating: 4.9 / 5 (Excellent)

Select Home Warranty’s lack of a term maximum is very attractive, especially when considering their comparatively generous appliance and system limits.

They do have a waiting period for service and require maintenance records, which can be off-putting to some customers. Select is an excellent choice for customers who value savings and flexibility.

I'm waiting for weeks to get my dryer fixed. Thank goodness it wasn't the fridge or the stove needing repair.

Absolutely the worse home warranty policy I have ever had. Every time I file a claim, there is some reason all or part will not be covered. Better have an attorney review contract before you sign.

As customer service goes I cannot express how awful this company is! I asked for a supervisor, evidently everyone who answers the phones are one. I as someone that works in a call center try to be nice as I can to everyone. But their rude constant awful behavior made into as they put it "Worst customer they have ever talked to". I honestly believe that their high rating comes from their own employees logging on and giving it to them.

Select home warranty is a fraud. Please stay away. My air conditioner broke the other day. I called them, no one was sent to fix it. Repeated calls to them with no results. Their customer service is a nightmare. They just know how to steal money from people.

I had a bad experience with them. I suggest that you are very careful with what their sales say. If the sales say that you pay $45 for each service, and they take care of parts and labor, you need them to write it down. They said labor is free, it actually doesn’t include installation. If they replace even small parts, you still have to pay for installation, there is no chart to indicate how much that could cost. You will know after the technician comes to check. I called on an extremely hot day because the AC had a problem. For about a week no technician showed up. They even assigned a technician who was not local and didn't cone to our state(Virginia) often. It was really differen... Read More

This is by far the worst Home Warranty Company. They cover nothing and you have to have maintenence records and pictures for them to even review. I had just purchased my home and had no records. They covered nothing. The customer service men were very rude on the phone. I would NOT recommend this company EVER!!!

Terrible. Use another company. A complete waste of $400. Save your money!! I don't know where to start. They're a complete scam in my opinion. My refrigerator broke and my first issue is that it took them literally a month to send a technician - very slow response times - the agreement says 2 days ex-holidays so that's not true. Rude customer service - when I asked why this was taking so long their "customer relations" rep literally said if it was me I just would have bought a new refrigerator by now...I responded that that kind of defeats the purpose of a home warranty... When the technician finally came it was a "sealed system" issue that wasn't under warranty - I paid $60... Read More

I called this morning because I was considering on switching companies I am currently with American Home Shield. I spoke with Adam at extension 42. He got pissy when I was asking questions and when I was hesitating to switch he said he'd cancel everything out and hung up on me. That's what I call customer service.......NOT. If he is representing their company he needs to be fired. I wouldn't go with their company now for anything in the world because I just got a taste of what it would be like if I needed to call and file a claim.
