This was my first service call with Select. They were courteous and able to help right away. I thought it was going to be a minute but whom they sent came right out. That was a definite plus in my book.
I just bought my first contract and customer service was very courteous and helpful. Hopefully everything goes well with repairs when required. When going through their contract I was a little concerned with their limits but customer service assured me I was in good hands. We sill see.
This evil company is Not helpful when a emergency comes up. After they send a technician out to inspect your issues at your home. The technician will send a report back to SHW. Then SHW get the report that’s when they’ll quickly back away from you, and tell you that they will contact you later in 2-3 business days. It’s a huge scam. After getting fed up with them I told the customer service lady that I will report them to BBB, and a female with an thick non- American accent told me that if I report them to the Better Business Bureau it will prolong my claim. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Being a realtor please don’t use or recommend this company to anyone.
Please do NOT spend your money with this "Home Warranty" company. As a new customer to Select Home Warranty I am very disappointed and upset that I spent my money purchasing a policy with this company. This company has reimbursement issues, "hidden" probation periods of service, unexpected costs issues, misleading and lack of information when speaking with personnel, as well as poor communication when being transferred to different departments. In any "emergency" repair situation Select Home Warranty is NOT the company to call. Heaven forbid if there is a leak or plumbing issue in your home, you would have an entire swimming pool in your home before Select Home Warranty would send someone... Read More
This company is the worst home warranty company I ever used. If you are a new homeowner they will not support your claims because you don't have the previous owner's records. They are swindlers and I would never recommend them. I will be sharing this experience with the BBB as well.
How is this #1. I had old republic and switched to this company based off of your recommendation on the site. They are absolutely horrific.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! this company should be shut down for taking peoples money! called on my refrigerator because it was making a noise. paid the fee only to find out they DENIED the claim. Why??? this is the statement on my policy: "This Agreement covers one (1) refrigerator located within the kitchen of the covered home. This Agreement covers all modules, components and parts of the refrigerator necessary to the functionality of the refrigerator. " Its is the compressor making the noise, but in the fine print it says they do NOT cover sealed components which is the compressor!!! This is the worst warranty company that I have dealt with. First they charge you upfront the full amount and then they tell you that they have to wait for 30 days before coverage begins! So they keep your money & you do not have coverage. No other warranty company I have dealt with does this. Every company I have dealt with will enroll you & give you a policy number, but you can only raise a claim after the activation date (30 days) & they charge you only on the date of activation! Secondly, after submitting a claim, it took more than 20 days to get me a vendor to conduct the service. Recently switched from a competing home warranty company to Select Home (SH) based on the promotional price they were offering. My kitchen sink recently clogged (over a week and a half ago), one thing to note is that they give themseleves up to 48hrs just to process your claim and then an additional 48 to find a contractor. I submited my claim on Monday 3/29/21, after 24 hrs I called to see when the plumber would be coming. I was informed they were struggling to find one but that they had up to 48hrs to do so.
