Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I submitted a claim. No one was sent to assess the situation. Submitted a receipt for $75.00 for repair. Nothing was received. Emailed company, no response. Not given a way to log in and check policy, status of claim, etc. No response from company at all. Called to cancel, they still refused to pay the $75.00 I paid for my repair. Horrible service all the way around. Would never recommend this company to ANYONE. Don't get a warranty from this company!!!

I had an issue with my heat pump/ac. They gave me a company that NEVER called me or returned my calls. I found a company that came out & made the repair. SHW told me to send them the invoice & they would send me a check for that amount less the $75 fee. I have never received that check & today I made a claim on the same AC unit. SHW told me my coverage had expired on the day I made the first claim. I never got any kind of notice at all. SHW only wants your money, the DO NOT PAY on claims. PERIOD. STAY AS FAR FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE. Unless of course you hate your money. One star because I couldn't do negative stars.

In the middle of the summer the air conditioner stopped.Its been 2 months and many calls .I finally had a local contractor fix it. Definitely stay away from this company.! BTW...Never told them it is repaired and still no call on their service repair !!

GREAT UNTIL YOU NEED SERVICE , THEN THEY TRY TO DOWNGRADE YOUR APPLIANCE. MY CONVECTION OVEN /MICRO COST ALMOST 700. NOT WORKING RIGHT , NO ONE CAME TO THE HOME THEY OFFERED ME 100. AND SIGN OFF ON THE APPLIANCE

Submitted claim for pool filter on July 27th. Select Home Warranty technician came out 5 days later on 08/01. Technician submitted the diagnosis to SHW on 08/06. After 27 phone calls to customer service, I decided to have the filter changed myself at a cost of $1,235.00 at the suggestion of several "customer service" agents and 3 supervisors. After 4 weeks of nothing but aggravation, they offered me $100.00 and said have a nice day. I cancelled the contract on the spot. Nothing but a scam company

I had my policy for 51 days and just cancelled. I am hoping I will get money refunded although they have told me I will not get all of my money refunded, even though I did not receive compensation for a claim I tried to submit. We had no A/C in our house for 3 1/2 days in the middle of summer in Florida and after many phone calls, emails and frustration- was notified that Select Home warranty company would not cover any of my repair. I had to deal with a rude, nasty contractor that was sent to my home. Very poor service .still waiting 2 months for washer repair. Have a electric repair now said they reimburse the part for me a main breaker, and I can install myself even though not licensed electrician. Says I have to pay labor on top of a trip charge for replacing any parts needed on a repair. The sales staff may be nice but they are not telling you the whole story only what you want to hear. There main concern is a sale kind of like a car salesman

This was my first call with Select Home Warrant company. I was told it'd be up to 48 hours before I hear from a technician, which honestly on a week day, I don't love. I did feel heard and understood by the phone rep, though so that's a great start. Let's hope everything moves smoothly once I hear from a tech!
