Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Claims management is a scam. I spent 55 minutes on the phone with Select Home Warranty trying to get someone to explain why a valid claim was denied. After all this time the result (so far) has been the supervisor will call me back after speaking with upper management. I suggest you read several of the negative reviews about Select Home Warranty so you understand their game. First, they con you into their "Platinum" or "Executive Preferred" warranty and then they deny your claim. NOTE: Read the fine print on the contract because that is where they are going to stick you. Do not get into bed with these guys. They make their money off of a VERY attractive price point I researched 8 competitors and they had the best coverage and price by far ON PAPER. When you read the fine print there is a completely different tail. I didn't get to read the fine print until after I signed up over the phone and received my contract. I immediately attempted to cancel. They are currently giving the run around. I've attempted to call and even email to no avail. The hilarious part is that when I email them about my cancellation their bot automatically sent me back an email stating that my "after futher review, your claim is not covered by your current policy...We do offer... Company was unable to get someone to check out the AC in a timely matter, so they allowed me to choose my own contractor and paid me for the different.

I have been using select for many years and have found them to be professional with great customer service. This last service call when I needed a plumber to come and repair my water pipe select not only followed up to ensure the contractor had made an appointment to come out but also called me to ensure I was satisfied with the contractor's work after completion. I have used other home warranty companies before but overall I have found select as one of the best. Jim

The support person seemed empathetic when I said water was leaking under my new home's new hvac unit. but I then got an email saying condensate leaks aren't covered. how they know it's a condensate leak without even seeing the hvac unit, I haven't a clue.
