Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I want to advise every potential customer of this company to review the contract with a fine tooth comb. We have attempted to submit three claims for various items in our house, two of which were outright denied. The final claim was approved, however they authorized only $95 for a mounted 1000 watt Microwave (our deductible is $45). The refused to include installation for the replacement microwave, despite the fact that a non-permanently mounted microwave is excluded from the contract. After an exhaustive search for a mounted 1000 watt Microwave, I could not find any product that came close to $140. Don't do business with these crooks. Their contract has a nasty little clause buried where you don't notice it that says they can refuse coverage any time they want by simply stating that it is not "cost effective"... and they don't have to define what "cost effective" means even when you ask them to, so they can simply refuse service to you anytime at their whim and you have no recourse when they do. I needed a simple repair to replace the plastic agitator in my top-loading clothes washer because part of one of its plastic arms had broken off due to normal use of several years. Avoid this fraudulent company at all cost! In their warranty, furnace units are supposed to be covered. The furnace in our rental property in Wisconsin malfunction in January during subzero temperatures. Our tennant complained to our property manager who called Select Home Warranty (SHW). A contractor was sent who replaced the circuit board which fixed the problem. We paid the contractor $307, filed a claim with SHW and sent the receipt. SHW demanded pictures of the replaced part. As ridiculous as that sounds, we contacted the contractor who fortunately did not dispose of the part yet, took a picture of it and sent it to us which we sent to SHW. I had problem with my refrigerator, i called them and the only thing that I got after calling several times in one month, was a phone number and when I called the number, I was told that they don't work with SHW. That scares me and i think the whole thing is fraud.
