I was sold on the service by a rep at my door 3 months ago . I previously had rove pest control at 49$ a month . I was told that the service would include one other treatment that rove did not treat at that cost for slightly more in monthly cost . I had rove pest for 5 years straight and they provided a good service . The rep was nice and seemed honest . He sold me unfortunately ! I then noticed that I have been paying 149$ a month ! I was blown away ! I would have NEVER agreed to 149 over 49$ for essentially the same treatment . And to top it all off . I am relatively certain I have had more bug issues since. We were nice enough to answer the door to the salesman. We were nice enough to pay for several months of service. We were nice enough to withhold complaints when they didn't follow directions. We were nice enough to cancel our service with plenty of notice. Our reward is a collections notice of 199.00 for some cute little phrase buried in their service contract. There was no notification. No email, no phone message, just a collections notice. When I called the company to rectify, the representative told me he zeroed it out, but within 10 minutes there was a message (lo and behold, they CAN leave messages!!) left that since it was in collections, they couldn't do anything about it.

They don’t do what they say they will. Then when you cancel they charge you an additional $199 because you didn’t use them for 24 months. A scam company.
I earlier added my review on 06/26/2023. During that time, the company provided a check for the payment, but when I present the check, it bounced and they did stop the check. So please be careful with this company.
Yesterday around 6:30 pm an Aptive sales guy tried selling me on some pest control services in the San Diego area. He didn’t identify himself or mention the company he worked for. Simply showed me a laminated page with some pics of bugs that I looked at warily. He asked if I was “the boss” and if the homeowners would be interested in signing up. Claimed 13 of my neighbors just signed up and he’d be back in the area tomorrow to service their homes. Wanted to cut me in on a good deal. I firmly declined, repeatedly. After looking at the reviews, I see I am not alone in my experience with Aptive. Door salesman acts caring but the workers are terrible. The first service was great but a disaster from then on. Workers didn't know what they were there for, on-site for only 7 minutes, make-up appointment never happened, $160 payment due. I cancelled it, out $99 bucks.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Terrible door to door deceptive contract. I did not read the contract carefully and was stuck paying 199 to get out of the contract or 140 every 30 days. It is my fault but felt I trusted the door to door salesman and that was the problem. Never trust someone that comes to you for business, I guess. What a scam!
I am a former customer of Aptive. I had a one year contract with the company. The charge was $105.00 quarterly. A week before the expiration of the contract, I had them come out to make one last treatment. I told them I was discontinuing their service and wanted one last treatment. Several days later they came out and treated the house. Within two days, the house was infested with ants. I called them and let them know about the ant infestation and they promised to return in several days. Their return would put them past the end of the contract. When I started their service, the agreement is every 3 months. After 1 year, its changed to 2 months and now every month. It means without customer knowledge, money will be paid for an unnecessary treatment. It is kind of malpractice. I found that and close their service. Keep watching your billing history.
