Aptive offers residential and commercial pest control services in major cities throughout 26 states. It mostly specializes in crawling insects and its website leaves it unclear whether or not it can help with other pests, like bats. It's still a new company, but existing customer reviews are largely positive, and if for some reason it doesn't clear up all the pests, Aptive will return to treat your home again free of charge. If you live within one of its service areas and you're struggling with pests, it's worth getting a quote from Aptive to see what it can offer you.

When I started their service, the agreement is every 3 months. After 1 year, its changed to 2 months and now every month. It means without customer knowledge, money will be paid for an unnecessary treatment. It is kind of malpractice. I found that and close their service. Keep watching your billing history.

They only spend about 5 minutes at my house....charge $140...which scales out to $1600+/hour! Not worth it. changing companies. Plus...I still have bugs!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Starts off well – two techs cover whole house, inside garage, eaves, inside house, etc. That was the only good visit. One visit I had a tech spray for spiders in the basement. Started by spraying BASEBOARDS. I reminded him spiders are typically at ceiling level. He sprayed up high with something he wasn’t sure of out of a can. The final visit before I cancelled, the tech texted me his arrival. One minute later he texted he was finished. So was I. I called and complained, sent an email to cancel. They still charged me $189 for the one minute “service”. They said they would come out and respray – I declined. Thought it was over. Two months later they want... Read More

Before signing the contract, I was clear that my most significant concern was an ant problem around my home. A week after the initial treatment, the ant problem was worse than ever. I called Customer Service to ask for help. I never received a call or email message to resolve the problem. After emailing and request to cancel the service (no response received), I then called to cancel the service. Cancellation cost me another 199.00. The bottom line is I paid $300.00, and received NOTHING in return. This company is a huge disappointment. All I really wanted was a resolution to my pest problem, and I could not even raise a response from their 'customer service' team. Very... Read More

I have been reading bad things about this company and now I see why. I have tried 6 times to reach someone to change an appointment and discuss the company’s billing practices - all to no avail! If this is a scam I will take it a far as possible to the California authorities until it is rectified. I will not stop!

I was approached by an aggressive and deceitful door-to-door salesperson from Aptive Environmental on May 9th, 2022. I signed up for quarterly applications for their pest control services through an 18-month contract. They completed 5 applications within the first 7 months of contract initiation. In January 2023 once they attempted to schedule a 6th application within 9 months of contract start date, this is when I noticed that they were coming too frequently (less than 60 days apart, on average). I reached out to them on January 23 2023, asking why they were coming so frequently. They offered to postpone the 6th application by a few weeks. I then asked for a refund for the 4 applications... Do not trust this company!!!! They lie about the services they perform if you are not there to watch over them and their service has not been effective - probably because they were not doing what they said they were doing.
